The current focus is on validating the order submission effort, which looks pretty good so far (kudos to Uncle Mike!).
Personally, I'm hopeful that the move to web based submissions for ALL games will take place in the next 1-2 weeks. At some point after that it is expected that the excel based order form via emails will no longer be accepted.
EVERYONE should submit a username/password combo for use with the tool. Even for games that aren't live on order submission the order checking is worth the time, and this will become the only way to submit orders. Be sure to include your account number, desired web username, and password.
There are a few things that have been requested that may or may not make it to a later development effort for enhancing the tool:
- Security code by game, in addition to the primary username\password above, to allow for more confident delegation of order submission to other players if needed.
- Ability to paste in either a block of cells from Excel (like the current order entry form) and/or a copy/paste of the current order entry form's INGEST tab which would be reversed into orders in the cells of the web form. This would allow players who have built up excel based tools to manage their orders to save some time in verifying/submitting their order sets
- Distribution of the success/error messages to appear directly below each corresponding order line/row in the web form, making it easier to follow the evaluation of each order and make potential fixes/changes to specific orders more quickly.

Can support set me up for my Anon game (which UncleMike is in) or are you still doing it manually.
I trust UncleMike but It's Anon so I can't send him my kingdom name from this game.
I ask because I made two errors in this last turn in the Anon game and my other games have been error free because of the validation so it is gold!
Also, there is a submit turn button on the order form so people should know that this does not work (except for game 148 I think) and they still need to send their turns manually.
Kudos to this innovation. I have been very impressed with the details the program captures. Now if it could tell me how to keep my 4 highest level wizards from being systematically executed in consecutive turns then it would be really worth something!

This is just FYI but I want everyone to know that I didn't "cheat" by informing others that I'm in an anonymous game. When Drogo requested to signup for the new online order program (for several of his games), I informed him that I couldn't do so for one particular game (the anon game) since I was in it as well. Early registration required me to examine the kingdom's turn results to validate the software's accuracy and other matters. So that's as far as it went and I'm not teaming up with another in an anon game

The above is absolutely true of course. Sorry if I gave any impression otherwise.

Nah. No cheating undertones from the message. Knowledge of who is in an anon game is usually out there. The newest ones about to start all signed up on the page, so we know every player in the game. We just won't know what position they are playing unless we can figure it out by playing style.

I've been receiving some emails about usernames/passwords not working with the online order system. Try submitting them again to support since your original email may have gotten lost if support was busy at the time. I could manually enter your information if it's an emergency but we're trying to use Cipher's new program to assign passwords to each account and need to verify that the procedure is working properly.
Eventually, the entire game signup procedure will be fully automated. Not just assigning new usernames/passwords for everyone but the entire game signup process will be handled online. So instead of signing up for a game by posting on the forum, players will go to a web site to choose a game of their preference: steel, magic, primeval, titan, ...etc. and be queued up for the next available game.
I'm also trying to convince the powers that be to go big with this and allow players to customize their kingdom setups at the same time. It would be really nice to spend something like 10 points towards customizing your initial kingdom for an extra point of influence, baron, or wizard (similar to the new ESO where you spend points for a custom reward).
I'm hoping that Rick has some free time to do the design because I can easily write the code for all of this with the current version of the game (fingers crossed).

It looks very exciting and I love the idea of customizing the position. Alternately, it could be an order that you can do on turn 1 if that makes the implementation easier.

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but the program does not seem to recognize order 726 - the movement order to go through a transport portal. I wouldn't expect it to be able to totally check it as it would have no way of knowing where the portal is, but it should say 'The 1WE is attempting to teleport via a portal' or something along those lines.

I think there should be a sticky with an official how to get this set up and latest update stuff. Then non sticky for use to put our problems or ask questions.
