The game will be using the official map but keep in mind that regional borders may change at any time to keep things fresh
I find it more annoying than fresh. Even without signs I know where one area of town starts and another ends where it is dangerous and where it is not. I know the basic state boarders as well even without someone pointing them out. but here we are fighting for turf and do not even know what turf to fight for until we find a poputation center or stop a group in the area. even the group does not actually know when they cross over only that that they are now in another region. some how they know this after they stop.

Well the official maps have several different versions of regional borders so the new software will be using those.

Ry Vor sent me a correction regarding Phoenix brigades. Only one PH brigade is allowed per group at all times. Not only when recruiting but also during transfers/combines.
Another change is that the Phoenix brigade can heal your group. Issue order #236 (regeneration) where up to 5% of attrition is healed by the Phoenix. The text will say something like:
"The Phoenix brigade called the entire force together, and through fire, health was restored. Up to 5% attrition was eliminated."
I can't say when these changes will occur but I'll try to get them done within the first few weeks of this game.

I need to get the kingdom selections from those who haven't sent in yet - its holding up starting the game, also I don't want my Sunday spent just monitoring email. There are three "new" players who pick first, then the other 9 in order of signup. If you haven't already, send you preferences to signup@alamaze.co.
the game will actually be set up by Mike likely tomorrow, but I need to do the kingdom assignments and the related accounting, service level adjustments, etc.

So, just to be clear, and since there are different flavors of anon game, do I understand this correctly?
1) No in game communication through the messages function on the orders sheet.
2) No outside game communication to any other of the players about the game
3) Order 440 enemy, ally, neutral is ok to use but can only use blindly (ie. you declare some an ally at your own risk - penalties apply to you but not to them unless they reciprocate). Seems like a rudimentary sort of communication, though, so I bring it up.
4) If allies are allowed, then one way gifting is allowed (albeit blindly)?
5) Anything else?
I am ok if #3 and #4 are banished as well. Just seemed like they were a potential hole in the "no communication whatsoever" variant of anon. Of course, it could also be argued that sending an army to an potential enemy town and then walking away could be a "wink" sort of communication ("I could have but I didn't - let's be friends"). How stringently do you all play this? Or am I thinking too much about this and it is only direct written communication that is banned (all the other stuff is actually called "skilled anon play")

Good to know one-way gifting is not allowed, that's helpful info. Thanks!

I didn't know that one-way gifting (215) wasn't allowed specifically although I never thought to do it.

Turn 0 files were emailed out this morning. If you received two mailings, disregard the first one. I didn't have all the account information setup properly and some of you didn't receive that email so I had to re-run it. Use the second email files for your turn.
