Yes. Hard coded in. The Very max.
I played when it cost .22 cents to mail my turn to NC.
Avid forum reader, I have read it all.

I didn't realize that was the ceiling, has that always been the case or just since the online order validation?

Yes, the game has always had a 25 order/turn maximum.

Just want to send a reminder for players to get their turns in on time. This past week, a player waited until the last minute to submit their orders and timed out due to network lag. Rick processed his Excel orders anyway but that's a manual step for him. Let's try to get our orders in early to give him a break.
Once Alamaze becomes automated, with perhaps hundreds of games running each day, I doubt the support staff will be able to process our individual orders for a particular game. So far, the only problems the order checker has experienced so far has been network lag or the player forgetting to press the Submit Turn button. Either way, it's the player's responsibility to get their orders in on time. Also, since this is now the online holiday shopping season, you'll experience more lag than usual so try to get your orders in before 24 hrs of the deadline. You can always relog later and confirm by hitting the Load Orders button.

Yes, to restate: You can "Validate" orders after every order if you wish, so you are always current with your remaining food and gold. You can Submit as many times as you like, its no burden on the game master any longer.
What you might do is validate and submit a partial turn, then log in again and Load/Clear orders and you'll have your last submission pop up to modify as you like. The order entry process now is really sweet, and the only problem I am aware of is when a player Validates orders, but does not Submit (press the submit button) orders. We really do need to end the emailing of players who have not submitted orders. We hate a player missing a turn as much as the player does, but we can't just camp out waiting for a player, annoying the other 14 or so who are waiting, as well as putting our own agenda behind schedule. Please don't expect the GM sending an email to notify you your turn is not in as your safety net. Instead, Load/Clear your saved orders so you can see what the system has for you in that game. Good gaming, all.

I think Ry Vor is using the word 'Validate' where he wants to be using the word 'Verify'. At least that's what the button is listed as on the order validation form.
