Regional Effects and the Continuing Adventures of Bob
#1
Bob the Lichlord is feeling saucy and confident, what after researching the perfect pie crust - flaky, yet tender.

With a souffle in the oven and minions under dire orders to stay quiet - or else get the PULLED FINGER OF DOOM, Bob has some time on his hands...what to do, what to do...

Oh yes! Bob could cast a REGIONAL EFFECT - he has been yearning for a vacation in London, but the Cold Darkness spell seems the next best thing!

Will Bob's vacation last more than a month, or is it a one month wonder?

Care to share that souffle recipe?

Agreed; just the current turn for regionals that impact morale. For regional spells that impact census or production (e.g. bounty/famine) the increases/decreases are there to stay.

Curious, if I cast a regional spell, like Cold Darkness and another kingdom casts Blinding Light, in the same region on the same turn, are the effects for both spells felt by non-allied groups?

The lower numbered order takes precedence ... ie: Blinding Light before Demonic Visions etc

The other regional spells #'d later just fizzle ..

That bites! You could really do some damage if they added up.

Here's a pro tip: if you're in a region and worried about getting hit by, say, Demonic Visions (which do add up over the turns), you could YOURSELF cast a Blinding Light or Cold Darkness, and one-up him with the weaker spell. Often more efficient and effective than a Dispel Regional Effect spell. Smile

Just wanting to clarify with Mike, that a single group can only be effected by one regional effect, not that there can only be one regional effect in a region.

I cast Blinding Light and Demonic Visions on the same turn and was told that my Demonic Visions fizzled because there can only be one regional spell per turn. I cam share that with you if you like.

For the record, I screwed up. They were supposed to be in different regions.

Same thing under Clipper.

Maybe this is one of those things that didn't quite translate as originally intended. Are we making changes to Second Cycle any more, however?
