Hi All,
Looking for some old red dragon turns if anyone can share. Interested in early game strategy, as it relates to parley/threaten with pc's, search...recruiting and battles with pcs and groups.
Much appreciated.

When recruiting Wyverns in the mountains, does it have to be on your own population center or can it be out in the open?

As long as it's a mountain square, it doesn't matter if there's a pop center there or not, much less who owns it.

I didn't know that about being able to recruit special troops from your capital no matter where it's located. Very good to know!
Way, way back kingdoms that summoned from specific terrains had their capitals in those terrains to be sure they could summon starting on turn 1.
However, if there were only 1 or 2 towns in the favored terrain in the capital's region it became very simple for opponents to locate their capital early.
Thus these capitals were no longer restricted to the specific terrain types and the ability to summon from your capital's area, as long as it is the kingdom's capital, was added.
