It is sad when a player drops, and we hope if rarely happens. A player who has missed two consecutive turns and has not given notice of extenuating circumstances will be dropped and replaced with a Standby Position. Standby's are available to Commander Level Service and above and there is no setup charge to takeover a position as a standby. Dropped positions damage a game and must be replaced by standbys when possible.
Players dropped in this way (rather than eliminated in a game through competition) will suffer an honor loss. Initially, this honor loss is for a player who drops by missing two consecutive turns before turn 12 who becomes Outcast, in Valhalla reputation. All players who remain active through turn 12 of their first game instead becomes Citizens of Alamaze, and earn a credit. Further honor awards are available to Citizens for additional accomplishments.
An appeal to The Imperators may be made by an Outcast on the forum and if the case is strong or heart-wrenching, honor may be restored.
