Online Order & Fleets

Hi all!

I think the online order entry page may not calculate fleet quality correctly, and I just wanted to confirm.

If I have one quality 12 fleet in a sea, my understanding is that the most I can benefit from spending is 12K gold in order to build one quality 16 fleet bringing the overall fleet quality to 14.

However, the online order tool seems to allow me to spend 16K gold to build a quality 20 fleet bringing the overall fleet quality to 16.

I am hoping to confirm that my understanding of the rules is correct and therefore the online tool is in error.

The online order tool doesn't calculate it correctly. The game will only allow you to spend a certain amount of gold and will adjust it down for you.

As a follow-up question then, unless I am missing something, it is impossible for a kingdom to ever actually get a quality 16 overall fleet quality, right? Since you can only add new quality 16 fleets to a starting fleet quality lower than 16, mathematically you can never actually achieve 16 for all your ships.

Is that correct?

Can get darn close. Get ships to like 15.9, sell all but one, then buy 3 at 16.
