Unveil Group Locations

I was looking over the spell list for the Elves and at level six, there are two spells that seem to do the exact same thing:

 Name:    Unveil Group Locations                   Spell #:  761

      This spell allows a wizard to learn the location of all groups of a particular size
      in his region. Put either Patrol, Brigade, Division, Army, or Army Group in Column
      "C". (put the word exactly, eg, enter Brigade not Brigades). No other Columns need be
      completed.

I looked at the orders between, and there are some spells that come after 761 like teleporting army group so why would you ever use 761 over 858? Or more to the point, why have spell 761?  Am I missing something?

761 was first then it was noticed others were not always where the spell said they were so 858 was made.

Just use 858. I would guess at some point 761 will get recycled.

858 also tells you where the group is AFTER it teleports. That was the problem with 761.
