Can you move groups directly from one square to the next diagonally?

He's only blue naked. Once he puts on the red underoos, the effect is purple.

Is 720 or 725 better for finding a US? Or is it the same difference since 725 only benefits on the landing area for a US?

You will cover more area with a 720 order, but with a 725, you'll stop at one and can parley/threaten/attack the next turn. Plus, you'll know if the PC you find is neutral or controlled. A 720 order will tell you if you passed a town or village, but nothing more.
The only way to find an unusual sighting with a group is to end your move on an area that contains the US.
DuPont is right in that the 725 will end your move at any PC on the route, so it would seem less likely to find an artifact location with the 725 v the 720 order.

Ah, sorry, missed that you were looking for an U/S. Yeah, don't use a 725 for that.

Can dragons threaten/parley a pop center in the water? It seems weird from a 'realism' point of view if they can't. I understand them not ending their turn on a sea square in flight, but a pop center implies solid ground (an island maybe?) so there should probably be an exception for that to let them end movement in a seas square with a pop center.

OK, edit to add this: I think i figured out my own query. Groups never enter a pop center directly, just camp outside, so an island with a village is too small to host a dragon army outside the walls of the town/village I'm assuming, hence the Dragons can't land.
