You'll probably find it in time but can give it to you now if you like.
If it is the bow we have just recovered it. If it is the Herd of Winged Stallions we would welcome the information. Was the artifact at DR?
SO- Yes, it was at DR. Ah well. Hopefully my intent is considered in the future by the lord of assasins.

We have a village off the coast of Krynn. We would like to work out an equitable exchange - perhaps we might offer a seaside retreat in Zamora once our envoys have explored the lands here? If no such arrangement can be made, we would like to move our emissaries safely to their homes in the south, and can certainly provide such aid to your own folk that may need to travel great distances.

Great druid, word has reached us of a settlement from the first age that has been preserved as if out of time. This town can be found in the midst of Mythgar, and we wish to work with you to ensure a peaceful accommodation or exchange that would be mutually beneficial. We can provide the location to this town. As a show of goodwill: our scouts report that there are no settlements to be found in YM or XN.
EL > SO
Our wizards report the discovery of a superior artifact among your lands. We would like to work out an exchange, such that a patrol might teleport there (next turn) and return it to our lords; or we share the knowledge in exchange for future trade or services. Our divinations indicate this artifact would not be of interest to Wizards (it is not a Wizard item).
DU > EL
Elf King, thank you for reaching out and sharing your knowledge with us. Our scouts have located your settlement and it is indeed magnificent. We would propose you stay in the town for 3 more moon cycles and then release the town to us (tax it on turn 4). We hope this is an acceptable agreement and wish to keep relations open and friendly with your kingdom. Please propose alternatives if this is not to your liking.
EL > DU
Lord of the Woods, your proposition is fair and accepted. We shall release the town to your folk in the coming season (turn 4), once our people have prepared for the way home. Thank you for your warm manner; we share your interests in an open and friendly relations.
(OOC, I've never taxed a town before. I see on the forums that this is a popular early-game move. I'll try it out in this case - looking forward to learning!)
DU > EL: We wish you well on your journey home, fellow child of the forest. (please confirm your taxation of the town this turn)

DU - GN: I have a village in your region. Same offer.
DA-DU I have a Village in your region as well. I am up for a trade. Have you found it yet? A village for a town seems a bit unbalanced willing to throw in 5000 Gold. Let me know.

Our harvests are bountiful and are willing to trade with those in need. Unfortunately, nature doesn't provide for all of our needs in this modern world, and we'll ask for some of your gold in exchange. Please send offers if you are in need.

Sorry guys, I had a tough work week and missed two game turns (one turn in each game). 5522 DA is in great shape. 5524 AM did not get to set ESO on turn 3. I am going to drop these game until my work schedule becomes more manageable again. I remain in one game and am getting used to all the new Maelstrom orders. Both positions are eminently suitable for a replacement player! ! !
AM - SO
I did not mean to sound as confrontational as I think I came across. Good luck! One artifact is 3 rows North and 15 columns East of the village you mentioned in my region.
No worries LT. Take care man. Hope to see you back on the battlefield soon.
Agreed - good luck LT!

(OOC) What is the community practice when a player (such as LT) has to drop from game. Do folks abide by agreements with that faction, such as AM and EL have in this game to not take each other's PC in our respective region? Do players generally observe a period of peace with them to give their replacement player an opportunity to establish footing?
In this case, for example, the AM's region would be of interest to several of us. I don't want to lay claim to some of it if that would be inappropriate. I also don't want to be idle while another player takes a second region with no resistance. Just looking for the best practice/guidance here.
