5342 Fall Unto Steel

He was responding to my question by dropping, so no fault on your part Ashgar. His decision ultimately to drop. I'm not a fan of the "tell mom/dad" suggestion of bringing it to Rick's attention and didn't think I'd have to worry about it.

I will freely admit I am at the disadvantage in this conflict - I missed a few turns as personal matters were taking up all of my focus. But I do not intend to quit the game and a simply 'no' on that vote will help keep me fighting and tying down a potential future foe. I might even sell an inexpensive ring of protection to somebody if they wished!
Well, this point has now been rendered moot.

Gentlemen,
I was a few gold short on some important orders. A phone call and or a text is instant and the forums can take
some time if you are away from a computer. sorry senior tact had to drop cause of my mistake as he was only
trying to help out a friend.
this type of activity happens all the time, we just got caught...
you ALL know people talk and work together in this game to some extent, yet just ignore it.
This is a great game mucked up by the low player base.
I as well will be dropping my games and try to find something else to do with my time.

Why drop?

Sad to see them both go. I think the fact that someone pointed it out proves that it isn’t tolerated.

Personally, I think that Halfling Army Group scared the crap out of them. I mean seriously, how do you fight Conan midgets all sound up on a pint of ale??????

The only reason to drop would be a lack of faith in the other players. What I don’t get is that this wasn’t a big deal and they could have just posted it and everyone wouldn’t have even batted an eyelash. Heck even after it came out it was not like it was a big deal.

Truly unfortunate.
Ashgar the Bloodthirsty.

My blood, your blood, what difference does it make!

Time will tell.................

I'd like to make a suggestion going forward. When new or returning players get started give them a guide they can reach out to and ask questions, regardless of the "game rules" etc. That person should not be part of that particular game but I think it would help a ton. I have had the advantage of some great players helping me out in games, being new is stressful, returning I suspect even more, just a thought.

When you move an emissary into another's pop center, they will most likely get a notification of the event. Barons and higher notify the pc owner 50% of the time and emissaries lower than Baron, it's 25%. So moving a bunch of guys will probably alert the other player of what you're doing and won't be surprised.

There are artifacts that help in this regard like the Cloak of Disguise which is now 100% effective in not alerting your opponent of the move however, if the pc owner is reconning the pc or has a special ability like the Druid which has an automatic level 1 recon at all pop centers every turn, your opponent will know that you moved someone there.

So the best manner of a surprise emissary attack is to cast the Conceal Emissary spell of which I think the Nomad gets at 3rd level. Not only will this prevent alerting the pc owner of the move but the spell will also cause your emissary to become invisible. So unless the pc owner is using a level 10 agent or has a true seeing spell active, they won't know that you moved an emissary at their pc.
NO to IL: I appreciate your advice sir and I look forward to getting my ass kicked by a veteran
