I appreciate the candor. Let me know!

The order is in and I will just make someone else buy me an ale from time to time to settle that one up. Thanks for clearing that up.

Fantastic. We'll make some new tablecloths.

Just a notice - I see the Pirates wish to condemn me to the good people of Zamora. I will freely admit I am at the disadvantage in this conflict - I missed a few turns as personal matters were taking up all of my focus. But I do not intend to quit the game and a simply 'no' on that vote will help keep me fighting and tying down a potential future foe. I might even sell an inexpensive ring of protection to somebody if they wished!

A few things to various peoples for discussion.

Mr. Warlock, we are set to begin this turn yes? I had to sell some of my less-promising children to finance it, but I am a go at 70k gold for a single chicken nugget.

Mr. Gnome, I may be interested in the ring you speak of. Name the price. I would be willing to do the minimum 10k and grant you my vote as well because... despite my desire to see the world burn you’re alright. At least a 6 out of 10.

All, what repercussions or sanctions would we impose against kingdoms that broke the stated rules regarding forum-only communication and engaged in a trade not mentioned on the board here?

Confirmed. My director of security and chef has told my King the contracting team can't stay in the same area each turn, they might recruit but won't explore or gather, but they will move to areas I've already seen (wah? I do have a village there). We are good for at least  three turns as per plan. WA

As for the second item, that's total BS. This is my first game. Breaking the rules puts me at a greater disadvantage and is unfair.

My view on breaking the rules is that whoever performed a trade that was negotiated offline should be made public. This game requires integrity. If people willfully cheat or made an honest mistake, then it should be made public. You build a reputation in this game. Some good some bad. That reputation determines how other players may interact with you. I think if you stumbled upon some one cheating, you should share that info and let everyone be aware.

IL to NO: Nice play of moving a bunch of emissaries into my region while my lazy wizards are sleeping but may I give you some advice for the future.

When you move an emissary into another's pop center, they will most likely get a notification of the event. Barons and higher notify the pc owner 50% of the time and emissaries lower than Baron, it's 25%. So moving a bunch of guys will probably alert the other player of what you're doing and won't be surprised.

There are artifacts that help in this regard like the Cloak of Disguise which is now 100% effective in not alerting your opponent of the move however, if the pc owner is reconning the pc or has a special ability like the Druid which has an automatic level 1 recon at all pop centers every turn, your opponent will know that you moved someone there.

So the best manner of a surprise emissary attack is to cast the Conceal Emissary spell of which I think the Nomad gets at 3rd level. Not only will this prevent alerting the pc owner of the move but the spell will also cause your emissary to become invisible. So unless the pc owner is using a level 10 agent or has a true seeing spell active, they won't know that you moved an emissary at their pc.

So my bud called me right before the turn was due and wanted a bit of gold to finish of his orders and offered to sell me a wowie totem for 19k  I did it, we didn't list it in the forum.  no need to consider punishment, I'll just drop the game.
