First reparations need to be made for the village you destroyed, I have one in mind we can discuss after the next council meeting.  
You are correct in that I cannot win the objective, simply delay you taking it long enough for others to maybe enter the fray.  I can remove that small hinderance from your path and here is my proposal.
1.  Allow my troops to leave in peace (saving me valuable mage training)
2.  Return any of my family you might capture next turn for a gold.  
3.  10k in gold paid at your leisure in the next 3 turns

Show good faith my little friend and we have many treasures that would interest you, I even have one that turns 1 sammich into three

To the Ferocious Halfmen. Your offer of assistance against the Dwarf is appreciated. I am not in need of assistance in this conflict. I was merely making the offer for another who might desire Zanthia as a new region that I would step back and not interfere. I had no desire to invade Zanthia. It was the cave dwellers that invaded me. They got their nose bloodied and then offered a bounty for someone to do the job they failed at. If you have no desire to explore Zanthia, then you and I have nothing to offer each other. I am forced to visit a land of little interest to me as it is clear the Dwarf's left alone would do nothing but continue to plan and scheme against me.
