I have no problem with 5 regions.  8 Have signed on.   What about the other game win conditions?   Usurper still the same?

Isn't game already set up? Can we change victory conditions in the system or just don't declare unless hit higher victory level?
I like the ready or not. Our newest game has been ready except for one player for over 24 hours now .
If we change Rex, probably need to change Usurper also.

Clarifying:  the comment on 5 regions for Rex is for future consideration, not at all relevant to games now. 
Yes, Usurper would have to change as well.  And there are ideas for other 'Personal Victory" that doesn't end the game.

If there is a five region game option to win. Which I like because sometimes I think the games can go to fast and make it a little more challenging for kingdoms that need to build up a bit, will the max turns on the game be increased?
