Question: I just investigated an enigma class US. It was a portal. I didn't move my group and it is still reporting that there is an enigma class US at the location.
Does the US stay there then, as if it was un-investigated?

What I always wanted to know: if I go through can I come back in reverse or do I need to do another US on the other side?

Incidentally, I'm not planning on including portals in The Maelstrom. Portals originally started in part when we had natural enemies, like Elves and Dark Elves separated by a great distance to make appearing suddenly in the other's territory quick and surprising. We stopped the natural enemies, in Maelstrom we intend to allow any kingdom to start in any of the 12 regions so they kind of lost some purpose there too. Additionally while in 3rd Cycle we simplified an elaborate set of instructions to use a portal, its still one of the most complicated concepts and is rarely used.

In a recent turn, I was all ready to attack a PC, and was stopped by the Dome. In the next attempt, I ran a dispel Dome but still was thwarted by the Dome. How would this have happened? is it possible that the defender cast more than 1 Dome spell?
Also, I received the turn text that ' A high ranking emissary of the XYZ kingdom has relocated here ' but no other info in the turn report. Is this the result of a conceal emissary spell?

Yes you can cast multiple domes and dispell domes. If more domes then the PC is domed
It is just telling you an Emmy moved into your PC. If it were concealed you would get no message
When they try to take your PC it may tell you who it was

Diws, when I began The Resurgence in 2013, I saw that Alamaze was different from Fall of Rome in that a relocation never reported the emissary name, but all the players were comfortable with that. As I work through the rest of Maelstrom, its one of the things I am thinking of. It would make for a more defensive game, less subject to political blitzes if 50% of the time a player knew the name of the emissary that relocated to their PC.
It also would amplify the use of agents (and wards and sleep spells), to go along with the amplification of the economic side of strategy.
Also, both Rulership (orders allowed) and Influence (political power) will raise their limits to 30 each. So 30 orders possible instead of 21.
