Some Specific Design Ideas for Maelstrom
Sure, i like the dragons, i like the idea of other dragon kingdoms also. There needs to be more battle magic to affect them. They seem impervious to most magic. I would like to see more battle magic anyways. The Cold Dark spell and Blinding Light spell are identical and redundant.

I think blinding light should affect undead more and darkness should affect non undead more.

Perhaps Dragons like in D&D with specific abilities to breathe fire, electricity or acid. then spells that they are immune to but others that the are vulnerable to.

When I come back soon, I like dragon kingdoms but I like the idea of adding them to groups like artifacts. Perhaps a Tiamet dragon that adds 20,000 combat points and adds a 15% fear combat modifier. Make lesser dragons that all add combat value in actual points (because if you have a dragon he should not be unattackable in a patrol) with each adding some type of combat modifier to the group. Then perhaps they could be added to pop centers to increase defense??

Either separately or with Dragon kingdoms, you could also have a variety of dragon mercenary troops that certain kingdoms could recruit perhaps with certain criteria to recruit them (Influence of X+, must have certain traits (Devout, Ruthless, Rich, etc.), no wizards over P4, only in X terrain, only if you don't control a region, if you possess X artifact, and so on).

Mainly I'm just asking players if they want the dragon kingdoms to continue, or be discontinued with the knowledge that individual dragons won't be characters at this time.

Get rid of them. The Dragons can be overpowerful in the beginning particularly when part of games that involve playing two or three kingdoms because it is easy to funnel resources to maintain that swift and powerful army.

I have not had a chance to play either of the dragon kingdoms yet.  They look like fun and if you keep them I will give them a try.

I like the dragons. Well more the red dragon. I like kingdoms that live on the far edge of the limits in strength of one area. Learn to play to those strengths and they could win. The RD does not win many games but are a lot of fun to play.

I vote to eliminate dragon kingdoms in favor of other new kingdoms.

Just my 2 cents.
