I believe a single free Duel game is for new accounts in order to help them get started. You have to pay after that though the Tutorial has unlimited free play.

Also, the experienced player tutoring the new player on a free Duel also plays free.

Two experienced players pay $12 and no game slots for a Duel.

Hello Alamaze Community,

I am Flesh a newcomer. I have spent several hours reading the forums, rules and commands. I have played through the tutorial(twice). I think I'm ready to take my next baby step.  Is there anybody willing to join me in my free duel? Hopefully, somebody who is not too aggressive early game so I can get a better feel for the game before they dismember me
