If you choose a split then you should be fine playing either one

I think that should be decided by the teams after there determined. Can we add a fog of war element to the game and list the kingdoms chosen in each region

but we'll be arguing these points till the cows come home on what's fair, equal, best, etc. hence my preference to just play the cards you are dealt: random team, random kingdom, random map. cowboy up and play. end of story.

I like the idea of a draft master dividing the regions via random roll, teams by random role with the exception of IT and Atuan, and then let IT and Atuan decide amongst themselves the kingdom makeup and kingdom assignments within their teams. Hopefully using their experience with the players to make their assignments. I for one will play any kingdom assigned to me.
