Need Testers For Duel Game (Centauria Map)
#21
Ok, looks like fun.

So far we have:
RD (JF) vs BL (LD)
UN (LT) vs NO (Atuan)
DW (Gray Mouser) vs EL (Mauler)

IT was late to the Atuan challenge, as LT had picked up that gauntlet already.
If IT wants to play Druids, I will accept the challenge with the Demon Princes (sort of a brand new vs largely unchanged kingdom matchup).

I vote for static. I kind of like the concept of a "side" of the map, like East vs West. If two folks want to battle with two kingdoms on one side, so be it.

Just created a terrain definitions file for Centauria. It's not PDF like Resurgent because I don't have a PDF maker so it's HTML though I tried to duplicate the same color scheme of the previous map. Go to Help Guides from the login page to access. You may have to press your browser refresh button to pick up the latest version. When I get a copy of an editable version (powerpoint), I'll repost under Help Guides.

Static, I think best to keep the game more skill based. No reason no to allow players to purposely select kingdoms in the same region.

Actually, I was responding to Tomag Ironfist's gauntlet. So you should have IT (as the Druids) vs. Tomag Ironfist as the Dark Elves

As a paying customer, I'd prefer the flexibility of being able to choose either option depending on what myself and my opponent would like to play that day. However, if I have to pick just one, I like static.

I like VballMichael's argument in the fact that if someone wants to engage in the opposing region right away, that they certainly can do that with the static placements!

My thoughts are with Imperial Tark's; I would prefer if both options are available because both offer very unique game styles, but I understand time/resources are limited.

I would love to see a ready button made for this format. both players could select when ready and have the game processed the next day. not for the games here but something for the future.

Oh a ready button would be fantastic. Having the option to beat up on jf 4-5 times in one day seems really entertaining.

I'm open to the option to choose static or diverse but if only one option is available then I'm going with static

I am happy to swap if you like.

I'm pretty sure you would still crush me. Smile

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.
