Initial Signups for The Choosing

All the Victory Checks need to be issue by the players, except for Lion' Share on T40.  I didn't understand your meaning earlier on T40 not providing Alliance Victory - it would, as long as all claim it.

Let's leave it with what Mike wrote on Usurper - just Substantial or better in five regions, but a same turn victory check goes to Rex (4 controlled regions).

The reason REX has always been a better contest than SVC is because players can observe their opponents advancing towards REX and act to hinder them.  SVC often provides no such opportunity to observe and, therefore, reduced chances to hinder.

Usurper willl create precisely the same problem.  I can probably live with control 3 regions and Substantial in 2 additional.  Having to obtain only Substantials means that other players cannot readily observe an opponent advancing towards victory.  This is a problem - imho.

I think once the notice of raising and lowering reaction levels is made public gets implemented it may become very hard to have substantial in 50% of the regions. the way so few players actually try to stop the leader not sure it will matter all that much either way though

Doesn't matter how hard it is . . .

Substantial in five regions is much easier than control of four.

I have an obligation from 5:30 to 6:30 tomorrow. I'm a single parent, I can't get out of it. Can I have a trusted friend here put down a marker for me?

I plan to enter mine even though I'll still be in the office (my patients won't notice me gone for five minutes! Rolleyes ) and would be happy to enter your choice too, if you like.

Rick - Might we have a sign up for a 4th flavor? Individual forum only diplomacy? I know I enjoyed the format and I think I could get my long lost brother to come back in for that one.

Will the the anon and full-on games be twice a week on different days?

Why not make twice a week the normal and 446 the exception. I have found 446 games actually start to get in the way because the keep switching around. Also with 446 if the warning message gets missed they are much easier to forget about. I know missing the warning message are no fault of the staff but they do happen more than I would like.

Totally agree, 2/week should be the default.

There's a lot for players to absorb in 3rd Cycle.  I believe at the beginning of each thread, we posted the turnaround, which is 4-4-6 for diplomacy games which are $15 setups and 2x weekly for Anon games (since there is no need for diplomacy) and those are $20.

Especially players who have not had exposure to the test games, please do take the time to get familiar with all the new aspects you are presented with.  You'll especially want to get to know the Traits, both for you and opposing kingdoms, how recruiting has changed, both at PC's and in the wild with Companions, new spell lists with 22 new spells, new artifacts are in play.  Several new kingdoms have new interesting diplomacy avenues.
