I took Meridon diplomatically, as I expected. My Fool increased my influence by .2 this turn and by .3 on the last. As has been said, I'm pretty sure most players will have him entertain as a standing order. I love the Eagle Familiar! It provides so much data with one spell!
This turn, I will attack a village to see how that goes and investigate a "fine" sighting with my best patrol and Valyrian Steel. I ran across an IL village last turn, but was not strong enough to hit it with the group that was there, so moved on (I normally wouldn't have done so without communication with the owner anyway, but since this is a beta game, I will probably do several things that would be out of character for me ). I haven't looked at my ESO yet, but will have to set that this turn, of course.
To the Halflings ... thanks for declaring me an ally ... shall we trade to practice that order some?
I would be happy to trade with you! But it shall have to wait another turn as my granaries are bulging with grain from other kingdoms at the other moment. Sounds good!

So you do a couple of unrests and then a 330?

Long and short of it yes. Its all political power, but its generally cheaper to send some lower level emissaries to 315 with a high ranking one to 330 rather than 2 high ranking emissaries.

4 regions drop on turn 3. That is fast. Must be the lesser number of pop centers mixed with a little diplomacy for trading starting pop centers.
Anyway, regions 2, 3, 6 and 10 all went to owners this turn.

I am curious if the defense reported when a group lands on a PC is adjusted or base level?

Lessons learned this turn
Never issue orders when hungry. You just might issue an order to raise food instead of defense. Worst part it may just cost me my capital
Did notice prisoners are worth 1.5x more now. I like that for sure.

Some comments/observations about this turn:
1) I was dismayed that my Marshall died investigating an encounter despite Valyrian Steel and the Adventurer trait. I did obtain the artifact, though.
About that ... it states:
The Bow of Heracles adds 10% to the group's combat value and increases the chance
of killing enemy leaders and wizards. The risk of death for the possessor is
reduced and that leader has a greater chance of being promoted while using this
artifact. The Bow also aids the group while investigating unusual encounters (by
10 points). Since this relic is a magical weapon-classed artifact, if in the hands
of an agent, it will enable the agent to inflict lethal damage against an undead
leader (nazgul) or wizard (wraith/lich) when performing an assassination attempt.
This is awesome ... I love it! It is unclear to me, however, which leader it protects and helps promote. It is in the possession of the group, of course. Does it apply to every leader in the group or just the highest ranked one?
2) I was paying too much attention to the new stuff and forgot to have my P1 turn invisible when I attacked a village ... and he died! Ugh!
3) I expected my troops in that village attack to become veterans, but they did not. I guess we need a tougher battle (although it did inflict 49.5% attrition on my Wildings!). Do the small battles such as this one accumulate and then lead to promotion, or does it have to be a bigger battle?
4) I love that the description of the artifact is repeated on my "artifacts in possession" report!
5) I love that the pertinent findings are highlighted in blue on my Eagle Familiar reports!

I love that information shows up on the group in question and is highlighted rather. Artifacts, towns, US, groups etc. all right there for quick noting and highlighted for you so you dont miss it.

As the Nomad I took captured a village resulting with 8.5% losses and group attrition was divided as shown below. This is after healing for a turn. Both leaders promoted but nobody trained. FYI
Brigade Type Experience Number Morale Attrition Defense
Nomads Regular 2 100% 0% Average
Zamorans Regular 2 100% 2.1% Average
Huns Green 2 99% 19.5% Good
