The messenger burst into the command tent, gasping for air, drawing the gaze of all the commanders who stood about Queen's tactical map table.  The inner guards rushed to grab the young man who someone managed to bypass the outer guards in his exuberant zeal but Lady SteelHawk brushed them back with the wave of a hand.  

"What news do you bring son?" she inquired while waving her hand to give the guards pause from shoving a sword through the young lad.

"M'lady, he's done it.  Warlord Trueblade has done it!  His army.... your army..... our army crushed the Red Dragon army even though they were dug in.  They stood their ground this time, unlike when they ran before, but Trueblade was ready, you should have seen the Infantry with their pikes... there are so many dragon carcasses everywhere, eventually they turned tail and flew away leaving their fallen brethren.... but they were surely met with Steel"

"And our losses?"

"Only 15% m'lday but I have more good news.  Trueblade and his trusted Sword Alvinitar slew the Dragon Commander AND one of his wizards!"

"And any signs of the Black Dragons?"

"M'lady several scouts believe that they have seen Black Dragons just inside our borders.

"Excellent! Now that we've softened up the Scarlet Wyrm, the Black Dragons should have an easier time with.......", the young lad, broke protocol and interrupted the Queen in mid-sentence, a huge offense but one the Queen was willing to overlook given his youth and his news...."Your majesty, I have even more good news!"

"What? Do tell", she replied somewhat startled now.

"Warlord Trueblade opted to press on and ride during the night.  He managed to link up with our other forces at Jukanta.  He means to take the city this very day!  And the RD Count is still inside".

At the moment another messenger burst in, equally excited. She was going to have a talk with her outer guards.

This time a young lady in battle gear.  "Lieutenant Arktaris reporting M'Lady,  ......we've found the Quest artifact! They are still pretty far way but will work to get it back to us within the week. This new weapon it is said will be even more powerful than Trueblades".

The Queen managed a small smile. "Finally...." she thought to herself, "perhaps the wyrm has finally turned".

Desert King,
   While things have improved upon the battlefield, the Scarlet Wyrm still feels the need to lose more dragons.  The first RD Army Group and 3RD Patrol are at RY.  What is left of the 4RD force (was an Army, now just a Division), is at UW.  I look forward to the day our forces link up in battle; I trust that will be very soon now.

Although we hesitate to believe Ranger propaganda, we nevertheless express our concern for the state of affairs, and would like to assist if we can. First, is that desired by you, and second, I have a suggestion: if you were indeed able to transfer an especially large sum of gold to the Underworld, you should consider making your target the Rangers, rather than the Black Dragons. This is because the Black Dragons have a right to outbid you, just like you do... but the Rangers are not even protected against the disclosure of information, much less having any right to outbid.
