In an undisclosed location hidden from prying eyes, several cloaked figures gather.
The Shadow Master looks over the veiled faces of his cabal. One cannot tell from his expression whether he is pleased or displeased. Knowledge of that would not be displayed publicly, but discovered suddenly and unexpectedly in private.
"Mister Pink, please report on the progress of Project Chlamydia."
"Yes, Shadow Master. Initial interest has been low. Only the Gnomes and the Ancient Ones have expressed interest in purchasing thus far. Interest should improve once our marketing campaign commences. We have teams locating appropriate population centers now to be the focus of that campaign."
"Mister Brown, please report on the progress of Project Gonorrhea."
"Yes, Shadow Master. No bids have been made as of yet. The current business climate is focused more on peaceful development than is ideal. Fortunately, this climate is unlikely to be sustainable. Relations between the Dwarves and the Dark Elves appear to be deteriorating. In addition, the Warlock appears to have a distinct dislike for the Gnomes."
"Mister Black, please report on agent training."
"Yes, Shadow Master. Training of our own agents proceeds apace. We have one entry level agent, six intermediate level agents, and one advanced level agent. No agents have yet progressed beyond advanced to Shadow. Of greater note is the large amount of agent training being purchased throughout Alamaze. We sense an opportunity there."
"Explain."
"Yes, Shadow Master. There is value in knowing how many agents a particular kingdom is training and how often the training occurs. That which has value can be sold."
"So too is there value in silence, Mr. Black. Let us see which is of greater value to each kingdom of Alamaze."

Could I kindly ask folks to not quote the entire previous post with each reply? It adds a lot to unnecessary noise on this page and makes for a lot of unnecessary scrolling.
Also - it helps to know who is communicating with who if you include the recipient race in bold along with your race (e.g. DW-RA).

Lord of the Drow,
Were I intent on attacking you I would quietly cede control of the town without much ado, before coming in force. The reason I wish to keep the town is because it's a sea location and may some day offer me a safe harbor when I most need one. It also doesn't hurt to maintain some towns outside my principal region, as it would make an all-out assault on my kingdom more difficult for any potential enemies. (The same can be said of your town in the Mountains.)
If it may alleviate your concern I'm willing to agree to a pact of non-aggression with your kingdom, the duration of which I'm open to suggestion. Shall we find common ground to work together?

Big Chief No Farts, We bring you good news! In holding up with our bargain we have found both and Town and Village for you. We welcome the wizards of your 4th patrol to study in our main library. Anyway to keep this short as I know you do prefer. We will use the location of your 4th Patrol as a reference point. The town is located 3 clicks south and 2 clicks west. The village can be found 3 clicks east of your 4th Patrol. I am very please to be able to offer you this great town and do hope other trolls do not follow in the 4th Patrols foot steps.
We the people for the people,
The Ancient Council

Big Chief No Fart looked over the wordy missive that his adviser had handed him. He snorted as he pretended to read the black squiggles.
"Hmph," he grunted. "Old Men better not let 4th patrol into their library. They use books to wipe with. Well, not wizard, but the rest of them." He directed Noxious Vapus to mark on his map the locations of the town and village mentioned and put the green and brown flag of the growing Troll kingdom over them.
"Old Men don't have to worry that we are going to bother with them. We find other fun things to do!"

Greetings Queens & Kings of Alamaze!
Are you interested in secret knowledge? Do you wish to know who is raising an army of agents? Do you wish to know who is vulnerable?
Three kingdoms have issued five training orders over the past two months. Two kingdoms have issued none.
Want to know more? Answers will be revealed at 500 gold per kingdom asked about.

We have a lovely little town in Synisvania. The Red Mage would love to keep that town since it will offer some income and much needed food during those pesky winter months that affect us so badly up here in the Great White North. Let me know if you think some kind of trade is in order to make this proposal worth your consideration.
BTW, What is that smell in your court? Have you been talking to Gnomes?
RA -> WA
Hail great arcane liege!
Is there by chance a town in your region you could give to us? We would most enjoy sending family to the north from time to time. If not, what amount in gold trade would you deem appropriate for securing the Synisvanian town?
Best,
Lord Swordhand

I am delighted to make your acquaintance. I am happy with that arrangement for now but I humbly request that either part can unilaterally and with advance notice express intent to take the PC in their region. That way if we feel we need the PC to further secure our regions, we are not fettered in our ability to do so.
Would you like to further cement our relationship through a NAP? Perhaps something through next Summer?
Best regards,
Lord Lothaedus Stormhand Lord Lothaedus, it is agreed

My Dark Brother,
I am very sorry to report that we must take your town in Synisvania. Unfortunately, while we looked far and extensively for towns and villages in our region, our patrols were met with mixed results. We are being pressured by the elders to hastily take the region, and your town was one of the only PC's we discovered. I am sorry.
To make it up to you, please feel free to take our village located at IU.
Best regards,
Lord Swordhand

Welcome to the Talking Mountains, Laerith Vhatha'Lil, Voice and Eyes of the Elven Queen. Rumours of your beauty were most true and we're very pleased to make your acquaintance.
It is my hope that both our nations shall survive and prosper through the coming strife and that we shall find common ground to fight our enemies together. Our strengths and weaknesses are much different from your own, as such we would compliment each other well should any attack our enclaves. I hope that your Queen might agree that a union between our nations would be worth fostering in the coming months.
As it stands now your archenemy to my south has threatened the Dwarven town in the Steppes, which is the ancestral home of my beloved third wife, and ignored my offerings of peace. It may well be that such provocative actions may lead to war, which may benefit you well.
Concerning immediate matters. As esteemed members of the high council I'd propose we support each other's initiatives and to accord each other ample opportunity to state the issues. If that is agreeable, and you currently have a standing order for a bid, may I ask at what amount I may bid to state the next issue?
I eagerly await your response and am most hopeful the Dwarves and Elves can develop a long lasting friendship.

Lord Lothaedus,
These are bad tidings. Just a month ago you agreed to a non- aggression pact and now you wish to break that pact and the only explanation you give is that you must take our town because you know its location.
We thought the Ranger kingdom to be honorable and we now fear your words betray your true self.
You will do as you see fit but should you take our town then our non-aggression pact is void and let the world know the Ranger king is not true to his word.
