Steel - Who Wants Some?
#41
I've only played TR once, but I can share some insight: Don't neglect non-military development. TR gets Chaos at level 2, which is useful in wiping out enemy groups. An effective political corps can defend your PCs while your military stays on offense. I'd also recommend partnering with another kingdom that can cast Dispel Dome on your behalf.

one on one the EL is stronger in the forest,  just make sure it is not one on one.   AN is your best defense vs an invading political force.  make nice with the AN.   For a hidden gem it has got to be that softball sized dingle berry that has grown on the troll leaders arse.

So is this game going to be open or closed diplomacy?   I am seeing its open and now possibly closed, can we get a ruling on this game type.  If diplomacy open I can start playing now, if closed I am ok with that as well.

I have gotten a few requests to open up a dialog already so  have been turning down responses in case we go closed diplomacy.  I do not want to make a deal prior to a game becoming closed communications.

The format for new games forming and any restrictions or special rules are supposed to be / almost always, disclosed on the first post of the thread.  That's the case here but if players want, I'd add the Independence concept to this game, as the first one like that just ended.  The idea in Independence is no pre-formed alliances, no game long NAP, no gifting, no agreement in Turn 0 through Turn 5 that goes beyond Turn 6, and restrictions on trades.

So since we are 2/3 or so along with filling this, I'd leave it up to vote here on this thread about making it Independence or not.  And even a veto for those in at this writing, that if one player doesn't want Independence, we won't add that.

Sorry but I'm going have to drop from this game. Ry Vor is allowing a pre-Alpha test for 3rd Cycle to start in about a week from now so I need to free up some time for it.

You work for alamaze....don't you get to play for free?

If this game doesn't get started in a week. I'd be good with that. But Ry Vor already said I couldn't play in test game.

Uncle Mike play for free???  You kidding?  He is barely left unshackled.  He will work endless hours for nothing and enjoy it.  Seriously, there are three people who play house accounts: Cipher, Mike, and me (although saying I play for free is sort of a novel to write, with a dubious outcome).

Mike needs to be focused on what's next with The Choosing, just as The Gray Mouser is also not in a newly forming game, that player with the not so good mask, that also needs to pay attention to his Crystal of Seeing.

But no one should hold off for that - the commercial release is months off, so we still offer our plethora of 2nd Cycle games, with the one now forming needing some of those players with suddenly available game slots on #173 ending.

Since the GN hasn't been taken yet, I want to change my request to them (cancel my UN sign-up)
