1) I never got that email, Sinestro
2) There have been a lot of downloads of 1.8.0 and is like to know if it is working for everyone. I never got the exe to run on wife's laptop, but I believe I know how to fix it when I get back from Disney.

Hey:
I've been playing with the tools that change my Ruby script into a windows executable. Can I get you to try it out and see if this version starts up better?
You should not have to do anything special. Just download and then run it like any other windows program. Ideally, you might copy it to a folder where you save your downloaded turn results so that when you double-click to run it and then select File->Parse... you will not have to navigate far to find the html turn results.
Naturally, startup will still be slow on some machines.
Please use the link below as I have NOT updated the links in the first post of this thread. There is nothing new in 1.8.1 other than startup changes.
https://bintray.com/artifact/download/scriptwizard/generic/parserGUI-1.8.1.exe
But right now, I just want to know if the GUI starts up (you see the map). If it does not, it should *hopefullly* create a file called parserGuiError.txt in that same directory. If you see one of those, please let me know and include its contents. Also, please let me know what version of windows you tried it on.
Thanks in advance!
Joe

Sinestro found a neat little bug: you cannot save if you have closed the Text Output window!
The easiest workaround is to never close that window (just minimize it) or click on a population center in the map which will cause the window to be recreated.
That bug occurs in both the windows executable and the plain Ruby script.
I'll add it to the list of things to fix.
THANKS!
