#172 - New Player Primeval with Mentor
#51
For clarity, you can firmly bind services a turn in advance, for spells that require setup (an asterisk on the list of spells on page one of this Active Game 172 discussion thread).

In other words, 24 hours after turn X, anyone can hire out a spell that requires setup for casting on turn X+1 on a first-come, first-served basis.

It would be nice if someone could take the BL position, I really don't want the game to end so soon.

HH you have been very quiet lately as a mentor. I hope you have an input.

Come again? Everyone who has asked me anything has been responded to, usually within hours.

If we can get a standby, great, but even if not, the game doesn't have to end. You just play on, until someone takes four regions. Even then, I suppose the person who takes a fourth region could opt not to issue order 996, if they really want to continue playing until T24.

Additional observations:

1) GN should be voting NO on the high council rather than allowing DW a free point of influence every turn.

2) EL and GN may want to patch things up and go after the leader, since DW has three regions already and a fourth one in easy reach with BL dropping.

The dwarves welcome any hostile action.

So with 12 turns in the books, we have DW leading the status points with three regions, EL in second, also with three regions (having persevered against GN in Torvale despite successful Denigrates and hired Infuriates), GN in third with two regions, and yours truly bringing up the rear with one region.

DW is still the favorite with no known opposition in R10, but perhaps EL can steal a march on DW.

Meanwhile, I have plenty of wizards and high-level Agents available for hire, as well as a HC vote if people want to stop the constant increase in DW influence. Smile
