Artifact Issues
#1
Hey Everyone,
Could someone please explain the use of the Plow of the Prophet and the Oracle of the Old Gods?  I have both at the moment, but I'm not sure if I am using them correctly.
Thanks.

Put the plow at your top food producing village.  Put the Oracle at the PC where your HP is.  It should keep her alive.

Does a key need to be in possession of the agent stealing Élan or does the code only check for kingdom possession?

Done and will do.

A few more questions if I may.
Does winter affect the plow?
More specifically, does the effects of winter first reduce the village food production before the plow bonus kicks in?  And how does raising the food production and fertile fields play into all of this?
Finally, must the Oracle be placed in a pop center to activate its two powers?

In clipper the plow was uneffected by winter and actually gave you full 3x production of prewinter production the whole time rain or shine. I would guess you just need to try it to see how it works. My guess is it should not be giving full production x3 during winter but more likely winter production x3 or 3/4 normal. If you increase food production you increase the base so more bonus.

For oracle it says just put it in the PC for reduced chance for HP at the PC.

I lost a Consul and an HP while they were in the same pc as the Oracle. It wrks better, I think, if you give it to you HP.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

I see.

What about the Oracles' special abilities:

The Oracle of the Old Gods can divine the name

or location of an artifact in the realm. use order-791 to divine the shortname of an
artifact (similar to the priestess Order #790) or Order #794 to divine the location of an
artifact (similar to the priestess Order #795). For either order, place the shortname of
this artifact in Column "A" and enter the appropriate value for Column "B". Each use costs
7,000 gold and is only useable once per turn.

Are they operable at this time?  Deactivated?

And regarding the Plow,
Three turns ago my village was producing at 3x its output (24,000ish)
Winter set in the next and the village dropped to about 1400.
Last turn I raised the food value by 3000 and cast three fertile fields with an ending output of 5800.
Next turn's projected food output is 4500.

Does anyone else find this odd?

That is the new ranger artifact. It works how it is described. LD and I are mixing it up with another artifact. The one you talking about only does what it says it does not help HPs stay alive.

If the numbers are not adding up for the Plow send details to support and I am sure UM will look into it. Your fields and 600 orders should take effect on your next turns projected production.
