While this may be back online at minimum I would like to have until noon pacific to get orders in. Would prefer to delay all games. There are many others who would also want to do this. Can we please confirm that we are delaying to mid day or another day?

Thanks Rick for listening to the concerns and getting some extra time in today. Appreciate it and Happy New Year.

Received new directive from Ry Vor about player communications. The order checker program and online order submission has been changed with the following:

Orders 341-349 are no longer supported. Custom player messages that may be sent to other kingdoms (towards the bottom of the order checker page) are also removed from the game. This applies for all games.

It's a good thing bluefile2 is no longer playing. Those custom messages were the best part of the game for him.

Yeah, tell me about it. In game 101, he sent me quite a few of them (most of which I didn't know what he was talking about):

- "Honor checka.. And fail"
- "Still waiting for my formal apology"
- (repeat of above)
- "Party in 5?? Didn't get my invite" (he sent this 11 times in the same turn) - the pr_ck Smile

We'll probably reach out to the sabbatical players like BlueFile2 and KalRex, Rusher, Tripwire, and many others in a couple weeks as the platform migration moves along and we get comfortable with it.

I'm looking forward to player feedback in #300 on the appearance of the next set of results.

YOU'RE CHANGING THE OUTPUT?!!! OMG, SO MUCH FOR THE PARSER!

Nah, just kidding Smile I know you are working on new stuff and so I was already expecting that I'd have to adapt. I'll have to to either handle both/all flavors in one parser or maintain two(or more?) branches. That just comes with the territory; no biggie. I expect output to change now and then and I have to scramble to fix the parser. That's what I do in the real world sometimes. What I'm actually more afraid of is Adobe pushing in an 'upgrade' one day that causes what I've been getting as a single line to be broken up at random spots. Smile

Updated the order checker. Same functionality, new look. Share your thoughts whether you like/dislike it. If enough people don't like it, will change to something else.

I don't have permissions to setup a poll on the forum but here are a few choices:
1 - Love it
2 - Hate it
3 - Could live with it if I had to
4 - Like the original bland version better
5 - Same artwork again? Use something else from Ry Vor's million dollar art collection
6 - When I enter my name, it goes up the Dwarf's nose - love it !!!
7 - Uncle Mike needs a new life

My vote is # 7

1. Magnifico!

Just need the same sort of deft touch on the initial sign in page.

This kind of stuff may not matter that much to people who grew up on Alamaze, but it should broaden the appeal to the undiscovered.
