As for the turn delivery- I'd be lying if I didn't think that we would have quicker and more consistent turn results with the online order entry. But that apparently is not the case. I guess I thought that the online order entry meant that the program also received the inputs automated and then could just spit the results out. Sadly it sounds as if there are still a lot of manual inputs that happen. Does this seem like something that will eventually get ironed out so we can turn Rick loose on design and improvements and not pulling levers, applying oil to old cranks and running dot matrix printer?

:-)

LOL

"Thanatos the Terrible" was an accolade/moniker awarded to me for my exploits in Fall of Rome. I still like it! Angry

I thought I gave you that one after I left you in my Valhalla dust. "Thanatos who? Oh, you mean that terrible player who was #1 before I found this game? He's terrible...." Smile

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. This game seems kind of quiet for a full diplomatic game. I have talked to everyone except one person (I did try),so I thought I would ask if this game is not the norm. Perhaps too many games started at one time and everyone is busy playing other games. Perhaps it is my newness and everyone here is so use to the game, they are on auto pilot? Evan some real or perhaps fake rumors would be interesting. Just some petty ramblings from the Dark Elves. To get the ball rolling, here are some rumors about the Dark elves that I can neither prove or elaborate on.

1) 565 for us Drow will be war hydra's. Only 2 units of them recruited in the Great Bog. They are like Wyverns, but regenerate with a special order.

2) Drow wizards will always cast a special form of darkness before a battle. (10% moral drop) this ability is available with wizards with presence.

3) In-ate magic resistance similar to dwarfs.

4) Cole one riders (yes were going to infringe on 2 different game companies) Calvary will be much stronger on the charge but will have a random chance to just flat out have a poor retreat due to the beasts doing there own thing. This glass cannon better win, for retreat might not be an option.

5)Fear of the light. Regional effects that have "light" attacks are double effective vs dark elves, ie blinding light.

I can not and will not conform any information listed above. If anyone wants to contact the Dark Elves

I think the fact that every turn so far has been due on a Monday or Tuesday (i.e. after a weekend) has kind of gotten things going slow. That's not the way it usually is. Everyone is also busy working on trying to consolidate before they get more friendly with each other.

Well done btw on getting both the first high council seat and your region! Impressive.

Turns are in and I got 2 sets that seem to be the same. Is there something I should keep my eyes open for that might be unusual? By unusual I mean something odd from the game program, not a player action.

The first few kingdoms got a result before I remembered I wanted to get the game back on schedule so the deadline for the turns is the only thing that changed for the AN - DE or so, deadline is back to Friday, not Monday.

Has anyone spotted one of these Darkelven Hydras yet? That sounds pretty cool!

Hope to summon them once I get out of the winter, it seems they eat a lot of food. I guess these are to prevent us DA's from using them too early and being typical elves, do not have food issues (go figure, salads). I can send you a battle report in a few weeks after I summon them and see if they are worth the effort vs just getting more veterans.
