Game Processing News
OK, Monday, July 7, we just finished processing the games for today:
130, 132, 138, 139, and 143.

On Thursday, we processed Warlords 23, 131, and 135. We did not process game 126 because a player was late and we have to internally decide how to handle late turns as it messes up all other plans for the day. As yesterday, today no Warlords games due had all players submissions in before the deadline. Then we have players in Classic games also arguing they should be able to be late as they know a player who was late. We can't spend $100 an hour waiting around for late players.

Today games 130 (Turn 25), 132 (Turn 23), 138 (Turn 18), 139 (Turn 15), and 143 (Turn 9) were run and emailed. Game 143 was just reprinted as the previous printed results didn't reflect T9 orders.

We finished processing 134, 136, 141, 144, and 145. Only one player missed a turn, and we wish that didn't happen. But players have to be responsible to get orders in on time. Some players are getting in the habit of submitting turns late, but should know - you may miss the turn.

We processed 134 (Victory to Hawk running the Red Dragons), 136, 141 (Turn 15 ESO), 144 and 146 (first turn of new ESO model). 145 is a Primeval game with one player outstanding with special circumstance, likely will be run Saturday (Ry Vor can pay double). Hey, it still 25 minutes until midnight.

Game 23 processed and mailed tonight, sorry for the delay.

Thanks to Cipher for bailing me out of my game #23 mishap. One wrong keystroke in several hundreds per game can be sort of a calamity.

Games due today will, barring unforeseen events, be processed in the next few hours.

Another scolding for late players. Just understand, if you are late, and you miss your turn, don't ask why we didn't stop the machine for you. Also, players that ask support to explain results: we try, but we generally end up working until about now, 11pm just with daily stuff.
Almost any question takes 20 minutes to research and answer, some an hour. So if we need to generate $50 an hour of on clock time just to get by, and a player is paying $2 for a turn and asking for that, its a tough situation. BTW, who pays just $2 for anything other than an Alamaze turn? Isn't a hotdog from a street vendor $4?

We ran 136, 144, 145, 146. Game 141 has an issue we need Cipher to look at.
Again, we should have been done at about 4pm, instead of 11pm. We even have players asking if noon is the real deadline. Yes. In fact, we can't keep waiting hours for one player to get their turn in, have 14 players and a game master waiting on it. We can't leave the system to remind a player or two they haven't submitted orders.

One thing: always submit your orders to activegames@alamaze.co. Not alamazeorders.co. This is printed on every result sheet and on the website, on the emails players get, on the rule book: activegames@alamaze.co. Some players have wondered why they thought they sent orders and we don't get them. Send to activegames@alamaze.co.
