Incarcerated emissaries
#1
One of my emissaries was incarcerated trying to usurp a city.
Where does the emissary go when this happens, and how do I get them back?

Incarcerated? Is that what they told you? I spotted the sleazy no good liar in a house of ill-repute in the city's fleshpot district. You can begin your search there.

If the city was controlled by a player, your emissary now resides at their capital. If the city was neutral or human controlled, your emissary is at the pop center (I think).

She's in a cell or dungeon in the PC she tried to Rebel or Usurp. You get her back by having her Attempt to Escape (#385). Note several things about Attempting to Escape:
1. Base chance is 15% but several kingdoms have advantages here, like the Rangers for example;
2. You can attempt the order several times. It consumes the order against your order limitation, but only a successful Escape counts as the sole order for the emissary.
3. See order #385 in that you can also enhance the chance of escape by offering a bribe to the guards.

You'll want to Attempt to Escape the first turn after capture in case your captor Orders the Execution of a Hostage at #430.

If the emissary is caught in a neutral or human PC I assume that the 430 execute order won't happen?

Also, if you capture the neutral or human PC via diplomacy or combat, will you regain the emissary?

Yes if you capture the pop center you get the emmy.

Even if it takes say 5 turns to get them out?

Kalrex, even the agents that get caught in your own PC's, running a bribe or steal for instance, get killed?

Agents that get caught are interrogated and killed.

That's a polite way of saying that they are tortured to death. They die screaming in the dungeon and some of the sissies even give up your name as the one who they work for. That's the one good thing about fanatics - they keep their mouth shut no matter how many extremities you flay. Wink

Can you send me the street address for that fine establishment? As the UN, I think this local business would constitute a pleasant reward for those who go above and beyond the call of duty. You know, those who really extend themselves!
