I thought changes to 2nd cycle were being stopped. I use this parser for all games I play and was actually pretty happy when game 166 ended as my last game that was using the old ppt to do my mapping.
This is again an example of what seems like rushing a change. Is changing the look of the turn that critical it could not be put on hold to send Bananas some sample turns to get a patch ready? I can fully understand something like the 3rd cycle not working but this is still 2nd cycle.
After using the parser I am not sure or how willing I am to go back to the old ways

I assume they meant they were stopping changes to the game engine (how the orders were interpreted, the turns run, and the rules applied). Turn parsers aside, that equates to everything the players should care about. Changes to how the results are printed should not affect game strategy. That some bonehead decided to write a tool that depended on the exact wording, spacing, and capitalization of the results was not, I'm sure, something they were factoring in.
Also, I had already exchanged several emails with UM about the changes in the format of the HTML turn results. He graciously agreed to add a version number to the html results so that I could handle all flavors appropriately. And we had already discussed exactly what you suggested, him sending me samples ahead of time. I guess this was just a brain fart.
By the way, this was a pretty trivial change. Had I not been overrun by events in the real world, I would probably have had a patch out that night. I doubt future changes will be that easy, but this one should have been a no-op. I'm going to update the first post in this chain with the new download links shortly.

Very gracious, Bananas. Thanks for all you have done as a volunteer. Thanks also to Frost Lord and Lord Diamond who run Valhalla and Diamond conducting the Warlords drafts. And to the mentors.

LOL, you gave me a heart attack because I did not actually test the .exe that got generated from the scripts. But I just did and it works. Are you clicking on parserCommand-1.6.0.exe or parserGUI-1.6.0.exe? They are very different animals. But I just downloaded the parserGUI-1.6.0.exe and ran it by double clicking on the file right there in the downloads directory and it worked. I'm running Windows Vista Service Pack 2, 32 bit. (embarrassing, I know). I have no way of testing the executable on other windows platforms.
If you run the file from the command line and it crashes, it should dump a file called parserGui.err in that same directory. The data there is not always useful, but maybe....

But..but... I have not played the Dwarf yet.... Maybe Gnomish...
LOL, byddwch yn rhoi i mi trawiad ar y galon oherwydd doeddwn i ddim mewn gwirionedd yn profi'r .exe a gafodd ei gynhyrchu gan y sgriptiau. Ond Fi jyst yn gwneud ac y mae'n gweithio. A ydych yn clicio ar parserCommand-1.6.0.exe neu parserGUI-1.6.0.exe? Maent yn wahanol iawn anifeiliaid. Ond yr wyf yn jyst llwytho i lawr y parserGUI-1.6.0.exe a'i rhedeg trwy glicio ddwywaith ar y ffeil iawn yno yn y cyfeiriadur lawrlwytho ac fe weithiodd. Im 'yn rhedeg Pack Vista Gwasanaeth Ffenestri 2, 32 bit. (embaras, rwy'n gwybod). Nid oes gennyf unrhyw ffordd o brofi'r gweithredadwy ar lwyfannau ffenestri eraill.
Os ydych yn rhedeg y ffeil o'r llinell orchymyn, ac mae'n damweiniau, dylai adael ffeil o'r enw parserGui.err yn yr un cyfeiriadur. Mae'r data Nid oes bob amser yn ddefnyddiol, ond efallai ....

I have windows 8.
I'm trying to open the parserGUI. and I tried opening it with CMD as well. This is the command line I use:
C:Users\Stephen>setx C: Program Files\parserGUI-1.6.0
then is says:
SUCCESS: Specified value was saved
.....whatever that means
