I can't say much because I'm playing but methinks that perhaps some kingdoms were selected for the "shiny new kewl toy" factor rather than the strategic implications. And while they ALL are technically new shiny toys, everybody has been eyeing that one particularly pretty one since they opened the 3rd Cycle dossiers for the first time; strategy and tactic be damned!

I found your insight useful. I'm not accustomed to team games and was thinking more along the lines of what I wanted to play rather than how we would win the game.

Until these games are played out - with many, many more possible combinations than before! - I don't think there is any right or wrong strategy. The Pirates and Atlantians may have been awesome together Smile

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with playing with the shiny new toys. The reason they were made is to be played with.
