Summary of global events during the silent period.
Turn 1 - AT with help of Charisma trait won the first council seat for 37,000 gold - AT put a bid to raise AT influence Turn 2 - AN also with help of Charisma trait won the council bid for 27,201 gold - AT council issue passed and nominated AT influence again. (Vote: AN Abstain, AT yes) - SO the first kingdom to gain control of a region Zamora. - in this game we started with two villages in our home region likely giving enough census to gain the small region of Zamora by only needing to control the major city Python Cove(XE) - Other Major Cities to be controlled this turn are Sirocco(JB) by NO, Destiny’s End(PJ) by RD, Ramhorn(FQ) by BL. - Major city Bronze Canyon(NU) is neutral - Major cities Imril(JJ), Blackfire(XU) and Stormgate remain under human control Turn 3 - The Charisma kingdoms continue to rule the council as the PI joins with a bid of 27,850 gold - AT’s issues passes with a vote of 2-0-1. AN and AT both casting Yes votes - AT and AN bid same amount for next issue but the coin favors the AT this time for another influence raise issue. - Three more regions fell this turn Zanthia to RD, Mythgar to TY and Stormgate to LI - So far none of the 4 region holder have tight control. In Stormgate’s case it means the LI does not have control of the cities village companion yet. - Only Imril(JJ) remains under human control of the Major Cities. - Stormgate(NP) fell to the LI, and previous neutral Bronze Canyon(NU) fell to AN - Blackfire(XU) is now Neutral

BL-RD: That was...unnecessary and unchivalrous. Je me souviens.
BL-AN: Sorry about the early confusion. Do you still want to trade for my town? I simply forgot that I wouldn't be able to tell you where it was the next turn. BL-CI: I would like to talk about your town in my region. But I would also like to know why you have another group marching around in the region?

Edit Reason: Meant to say food

Mighty Dragon Lord Eregnon, It seems we have business to discuss. I do wish to claim the village that you are flying above to allow tight control of our region. We do not wish war so are willing to offer you 10k food during your winter months a sum that can be negotiated if you foresee the need for more. Also of course you wizard and general may continue on there way of exploration.

An apology is not needed. We know the mischief that long-distance communication can cause. That said, the value to us was to have known the location and thus been able to assume control earlier which would have triggered the other neutral population centers to follow suit. Unfortunately, due to the miscommunication, we were unable to do that and thus had to spend our time and resources scouring the land in search of population. At this time we now know the location of every population center in Nyvaria and have assets in place to take them. What we humbly suggest is that you double tax the town so that you can maximize your return this month (added to the prior 3 months that represents quite the haul in gold and food). Then next turn as winter sets in we shall claim it along with it's dramatically reduced production.
BL-AN Tax it, we shall, as we are not in a position to defend it at present. But we must point out that you are taking an asset without offering anything in return, other than the chance to nest in a barren volcano on the border.

Please do weigh the production that was kept due to the miscommunication. We had agreed to send you 10k for the location on turn 0-1 which would have allowed us to take it on Turn 2. We shall not claim it now until turn 5. That is a literal Kings Bounty in your benefit and far outweighs the 10k. If we add what it cost me by not having the region declare our Control it's quite extensive. We do not wish to impose our will on others but we do believe this is fair. You have obtained more gold and food than had we completed the deal as expected. We have far less, yet we are understanding that these things happen and so still offer not only the chance to nest in the volcano, but to do so unannounced which has obvious benefits such as not announcing your intentions to all the Kingdoms each time you do so. Once again, this puts my kingdom at a disadvantage as I must trust your intentions to be noble (there is, after all, an ancient proverb about allowing dragons to roam the countryside). Yet I do so in the hopes of continued friendship.

Of course you would make a fine ally. For our trade it is not required. I will send you 10k food for 1 gold each of your winter turns, starting T5. You just need to issue the reciprocal order to match up. Be sure to note the loss of the food this turn in your planning I do not want any Dragons to starve. |
