Players generally know I get a little testy when there is a draft and a player kind of disappears, holding up the other eleven who are waiting, either patiently or impatiently to make their choices and get the game started.

I suggest, it having been over two hours since the last pick, that we skip over jonchanson and move on in the draft, so Acererak can pick now, and whenever jonchanson returns, he can pick, at whatever that point in the draft that happens. 

So after Acererek, we would have Canticar, DuPont, etc., while again, jonchanson can jump in whenever he returns to the forum

I think we should do this in future drafts: you get maybe a max of two hours from the previous pick to make a selection, otherwise you lose your spot.

I agree with your concept Rick, but not in this case. Jonchanson did not have the longest gap and actually did get in within 2 hours. We should figure something out, maybe something you suggested once before about having a set time where we all try to congregate and get it done. Or perhaps we have like a phone tree. For instance, since I am retired and check the forum a lot, I text 3 or 4 people when it is their turn as I have their phone numbers. They always then jump on and pick quickly. Maybe everyone can make sure someone has the ability to text them. That sound like it might work?

OK, if the players then don't seem to mind, we will wait on jonchanson. I had emailed him about two hours ago to remind him he is on the clock.

My bad: I see he made a selection while I was writing the previous post.

I just hate for players to have to wait around, checking to see where we are in the draft. I just would like somehow for players to understand once a draft starts, you should try to make your picks in a couple minutes, not have a draft take days to complete. But, again, maybe players are very understanding of this and not at all upset at delays. As that seems to be the case, I withdraw my Executive Decision and we will just practice patience.
