WA -> GN
We were all sitting around in the Gleaming Tower yesterday and I was telling everyone about just how wonderfully Gnomish the Gnomish people are. And that Bottlenose! He sure does like to talk, but he certainly is a fine example of the Gnome race. Impeccable!
Yes, a demon dagger would work just fine. How about 20,000 gold for a couple of turn loan? If anyone else wants to beat that price for something they don't need right now that's fine as well.

OOC: One reason I took the Gnomes is because in most D&D lore, they tend to prattle on and on, which fits me pretty well.
IC: GN-WA
Red Mage,
I would be amenable to this arrangement, although I would request that in the event the Dwarves wish to de-escalate with me, perhaps you would also be willing to serve as an intermediary if he also wishes to negotiate with me for a loan of the Demon Dagger for his own strategic objectives?
And no offense will be taken if someone else underbids me, we merchant-types are used to that!
Best,
Bottlenose, for the Gnomes

Sorry to jump in on the negotiations but I am willing to send you an artifact free of charge to allow you to get your ESO. Call it a all is good no hard feeling for our little artifact dual. Of course will cost 10k but I will buy back for same amount

Well I certainly can't beat that bid! Enjoy it in good health, Red Mage.

OOC: Alas, what's a merchant to do when people start giving away stuff for free?
EDIT: OOC: Just a small tip, unless I'm playing RA, I've moved away from artifacts as an ESO condition, preferring two L7 Agents/Fanatics, city defense/gold, or two P4 wizards, depending on the Kingdom.

Master of Shadows,
I understand your position and appreciate your candor. Such is the way the Underworld should be.
You have a fair offer from the Gnomes to target the Dwarf. I have my own offer I hope you'll consider. I'll pay 25k gold for protection from your agents (the Chlamydia package?) for three months, and would consider paying again in the future. This might afford you the opportunity to continue training your agents.
I'll also offer a bounty myself. There are three wizards in the 4GN near the same area divulged by the Gnome. I'll pay your offer up front (this month if you wish) for as many attempts as you can make, and will pay the rate again for any successful missions. The stronger the agents the better for both of us. If you need specific coordinates for lower level agents I'll gladly oblige.
King Oban (UN->DW)
Great King of the Dwarves,
Protection from my agents under these circumstances actually falls under the Gonorrhea package, not that it really matters what STD(Specialized Termination Determinant) we are discussing. At the moment, the Gnomes have pledged to pay more than 25K gold to keep his bounties on you active. But words are cheap - my agents will be acting on what gold actually shows up in my account.
Thank-you for posting bounties on Gnome wizards. I will let you know when I can lay claim to those bounties. (I know I originally wanted to charge per attempt, not success, but once I determined what a pain in the ass it would be to keep track of I opted for something more simple & bloody.)
I have also noticed the arrival of the 3rd Dwarven Army at my town in the Talking Mountains. Please be advised of the following:
1) The taking of that town does not negate the bounties you have placed. If I kill any Gnome wizards, I expect to be paid.
2) Without that town, I will have no incentive to keep the first names of Count Strongwife or Count Bonecrusher to myself.

Aww, that is so sweet! And much appreciated. I will make the order to trade - um, wait. How do we do this if I don't know the short name?

Shadow Master,
I can certainly guarantee more than 25,000 gold in bounties during the upcoming three months, especially at double your posted rates, assuming you have agents to make the attempts.
I don't believe you offer time period immunity, as I believe you have already advised the Dwarves, but if you do, please let us know. Until then, hopefully you have my requests, and we shall see if even this very month whether there is fruit from them.
Best,
Bottlenose (UN->GN)
Grand Alchemist of the Gnomes,
I fear there is no fruit yet. This past month was spent relocating my agents to be out of harms way and to be in position to act. With that accomplished, the hunt begins.
As for the 25K gold, I am pleased to hear that you are overbidding the Dwarves. I would also note that gold in my coffers trumps gold guaranteed. After all, I can't spend guarantees. Of course, this only matters if the Dwarven King chooses to make a deposit.

Lord Bottlenose,
You've won the artifact with no harm done. I accept your proposal that we cancel our bounties with the Underworld as that serves neither of us well.

Lord of the Skies,
There have been reports from the countryside that dragons are still in the Mountains. If I understand correct your beasts are too large to explore unusual sightings. Is there anything I can offer your dragons to better learn their intent and to be assured that they won't feed on Dwarven peasants and livestock?
