I have to admit, it feels strange to see your troops on the other side of the field of battle without 20:1 odds. Are you sure you're up for it? As it is, your people have lost faith. Imagine what will happen when your troops do as well. The lines outside all of the "finer" drinking establishments in your realm will be miles long, and by the time you get service they'll likely be limited to Pabst Blue Ribbon. In a can. In. A. Can. Ponder that while your demise waits for you with cute little baby-sized weapons and armor that could just as easily have been from your niece's Bat mitzvah. Glory shall be had, but it will not be yours.
Mr. Gnome, welcome to the party! It seems our friend the Ranger enjoys picking on the shorter races, so beware. He'll use whatever imagined slight he can as cause to go to war. Once I'm done with his military, he'll have all those extra orders to "peel off" and throw your way, as well. In the meantime, enjoy Zanthia. The weather is lovely.

I think I found the problem, do they know they can simply go around that wall it’s open on both sides...
It may look open on both sides. Don’t let that deceive you. It is a town built to match the Halfling towns in both size and stature. The walls go completely around and what you see is the entire town. Now you see the dilemma of using a large force to attack a Halfling town. You can’t even fit an entire brigade inside the walls they hide an army behind.

A couple things to note:
First, you're supposed to train BEFORE the engagement.
Second, I can't help but notice the lack of snacks in that picture.
Wait....What????? I thought you were supposed to bring the snacks. I was certain that I was supposed to bring the can of whoop ass and you were bringing saamiches. Please tell me your brought them!!!!!
I do expect to have a down fall. My swords will have to fall down or they would just be slicing the air over your heads. Down fall is part of the training.
