Maelstrom Test Game
(02-07-2019, 01:14 AM)unclemike Wrote: I can end the test game next turn. BTW, I just made the change to remove bonuses to pc defenses (c.f. new release notes). Rick wanted more done but there's no time so this last adjustment will have to do until my next break. I'll choose a random kingdom to be the conceded winner of the test game. Thanks for participating.

Mike, thank you for making a great game sir!!!!   Now pick my kingdom as winner  lol

No test of building a Castle in a Siege?

Awesome. Thanks. Will do my write-up after next turn. We have generally dealt with the bugs, so maybe a new thread for end-of-game overall evaluations?

Just waiting on Rick now to create the first Maelstrom game in the queue. Perhaps, two games, one with full diplomacy and the other anonymous. I'll sign up for the latter since I would like to see how the new Maelstrom rules fare when kingdoms don't trade with each other. It'll be a better indication of how well the new rules play. So if there's an anonymous game in the queue, I'll sign up for that for sure!

BTW, I had to end the test game early in case the new Maelstrom game(s) fill up in the queue. The reason why is that the first three finishers in the test game would prevent chivalry bonuses for those players in the real Maelstrom games so I had to end the test game early to prevent that mix-up.

So shall we assume that you can build a wizard's tower and train a P6 in the same turn? That was the main thing I was going to test today.

Well, I wouldn't end the test if I felt there were outstanding issues...

I am hoping the plan for most games starting is first come first serve snake style draft.

Pick region OR kingdom then the last to select is first to pick the other. This should help with everyone grabbing the best stuff early and taking a long time waiting for that last kingdom.

Another question if I did not quit or was removed why is missing the last turn counted as not finishing a game. In this case artificial but still already messes up a brand new set of set for a few players
