How groups move.

Previously the artifact would remain with the inactive group. It would appear in recons at your capital (since inactive groups are technically at your capital).

That may have changed of course.

If there are no troops left in a group and no figures left in a group after transfers (whichever ones they are), that group then becomes inactive.

Excellent question about artifacts. Not sure of the answer, but I suspect the artifact in question might just be considered "hidden" at the location and the group inactive.

I notice that Patrols always seem to have 100% morale. It doesn't improve when in a friendly region. Does this mean that they can 'force march' for free or will their morale drop to 93% (or will there inability to change morale prevent them from force marching)?

Is their static morale a bug?

Morale is tied to brigades in the groups and follows the brigade counts to average out (weighted averages) a new morale when split/combines occur. Patrols are always at 100% since they contain no brigades and won't impact any troop morale when splitting/combining that group.

Patrols should be able to force march without any real consequences.

So, when a group with 140% morale sends a patrol to investigate a sighting, morale is not a factor in the combat?

Also, related to patrol sized groups... Can a patrol group block an emissary from relocating?

Patrol groups do not block an emissary. Morale (as far as I'm aware) doesn't impact combat in an usual sighting. Leaders and wizards are the determining factors as well as kingdom troop type. For example, a patrol of Giants is much stronger than a patorl of Gnomes.

Some artifacts help in encounters too.

To clarify, what Cipher means is that all non-103-RA patrols can force march.

I'm quite sure that RA-103 groups aren't supposed to move at all. They should've stayed at the capital to avoid certain rapage.
