The Choosing - 3rd Beta Comments
Sorry.  Just patting my and Mike's back for the battle report.  Come on Peoples!
Reply

Yes, the battle reports are great! And a bit amusing. I rather love the idea of Veteran and Elite "Zombies"; what a concept! Are Elite Zombies faster eaters?

I think I would keep that one private.  But that's just me.  I'm a bit behind the times.

I thought I had heard at one point that the beta was going to end at T12. Are we still going?
Reply

No, the third beta has ended, although T13 results might be processed.

Does wall of flame work differently now?
In a staged turn 13 battle the Tyrant army was able to attack the Nomad army with archers and it was as if there was no wall of flame cast yet.
In the past the wall seemed to affect all phases of combat.
Just wondering.

Battle between the 1st Tyrant army group and the 2nd Nomad army group in the desert of

area XR:

Tyrant Nomad

Commanders
Lord Commander White Goblin Major General Zanno the True
Marshal Zor of the Pit Captain Hannibal
Centurion Girgash Centurion Stormbringer

Power-4 Fire Eye Power-4 Kaznar the Comet
Power-4 Tegis the Spider
Power-3 Valir

Brigades
2 Tyrant Elite 3 Nomads Regular
2 Tyrant Veteran 2 Huns Regular
1 Trolls Veteran 2 Zamorans Regular
2 Trolls Regular 2 Huns Green
3 Orcs Elite 2 Zamorans Green
4 Orcs Veteran
1 Orcs Regular
1 Zamorans Regular

Combat Factors
Very Good Leaders Good Leaders
Minor Attrition Minor Attrition

Determined Attack Organized Withdrawal

The 1st Tyrant morale was boosted due to the plentiful number of Orc brigades within their
ranks. The 2nd Nomad morale was boosted due to the valor of the Zamoran brigades. Early in
the day, with a furious shout for death to its enemy from the commander, the 1st Tyrant
army group rushed to attack the defensive position of the 2nd Nomad army group under Major
General Zanno the True. The Tyrant fielded its pride: its 1st group. As the attackers
advanced through the surrounding dunes, the first missles sang out.

- Archers -

The Tyrant mix of missile troops and the natural horse and foot archers of the Nomad force
initiated their attack. The Tyrant forces imposed minor damage upon the Nomad lines in
return, the Nomad caused minor losses to their enemy. Misslers from both sides stepped
forward and let loose a volley of arrows. The Tyrant lines claimed noticable casualties
upon the Nomad ranks while the Nomad dealt out light losses to their enemy.

- Conclusion -

Major General Zanno the True saw that fortune was not with the Nomad this day, and
signalled the retreat. Retreating caused additional losses for the Nomad were minor.
Tyrant casualties were put at 3.98%. All Tyrant leaders survived the battle. The troops
are anxious for more victories: morale is up! Nomad casualties were put at 20.12%. Despite
receiving a fatal wound, Major General Zanno the True survived due to our kingdom's
special healing abilities! Tragically, the Nomad Centurion Stormbringer did not survive.
Despite our kingdom's special healing abilities, our skilled physicians could not save
him. All the Nomad wizards survived the fray. The toll of battle has reduced the group's
morale.

By the logic seen in the battle above if someone attacked with a tactic 2 would the archers fire but then not go through the wall?
