Oh, Nosy One, you are usually beneath Our notice but one of Our advisers told me I should glance your way. We are not desirous of Our secrets being shared with the Old Crone of the South. What petty extortion do you wish to keep Us our of your silly rumor games?

Not this turn but next turn I will have a group ready to improve the gold production at one of your pop centers by 7500 in one turn. I will move onto your starting village unless you want me to move elswhere. Just direct me from your starting village. Please advise the box you have searched. Also have you searched for unusual sightings in our region? I have found 3

The winter wind blew bitterly across the Southern Sands. The people of the Southern Sands had never been more content. The nomads of this once great land had come together for the first time in hundreds of generations to publicly acknowledge their fealty to the Desert King. Many, if not most of the citizens were unaware that their newest king Raisthanatosfistandantilus was in fact the same legendary Desert King of myth. The people were pleased and felt safe from the depradations that had caused the elimination of the mysterious dark elves, those poor souls.
Striding purposefully into the war room, the Desert King looked towards Arcura's empty chair secure in the knowledge that his Master of Spies was faithfully about her duties protecting his realm and advancing the interests of peace and safety wherever she could. Scythia was at his side glaring as fiercely as ever. She had nearly completed her training as Dragon Knight and looked forward to joining her king in his upcoming quests to awaken the mighty phoenix and secure the aid of the scattered wyvern tribes. The towering giantess came to attention as the king's gaze settled upon her. The anciently-crafted Battle Lance in her huge right fist gleamed with a dark malevolence as she slammed its haft against her fire-proof scarlet dragon scale armor. The Battle Lance towered nearly 36 feet from its eight inch thick base to its magically sharpened tip. The top 12 feet of the lance displayed a series of blades in a corkscrew pattern circling the weapon with cruelly barbed hooks interspersed atop the thin magical blades. The weapon was easily the most fearsome instrument of war ever developed in the history of Alamaze. The Desert King recalled the hours of chanting by none other than the Witchlord himself when this particular Battle Lance was imbued with spells of sharpness, bloodthirst, and a very palpable hatred for dragonkind. The Desert King grinned at his loyal companion and then turned back to the council table.
"Report, commander." Ahzek slowly rose to his feet and intoned, "MiLord, the battle standards of ancient times have been unfurled throughout the land. The Witchlord was first to . . . ah, subjugate . . . his ancestral realm, followed immediately by both the elves and dwarves. Those two races never truly abandoned their kingdom's identities over the last thousands of years. In the south both the Southern Sands and Arcania have come together to stand against the rising tide of war. The Scarlet Wyrm has invaded the peaceful land of Synisvania and concluded further agreements with the eagerly accomodating dwarven king, all while exerting greater control over the dark elves' former realm. You were correct that breaking the treaty was your cousin's prelude to invasion and genocide. The gnomes appear prepared to send their prisoners and sickly elders to the Eastern Steppes to feed the despicable Scarlet Wyrm. The world of Alamaze is again on a path to blood and death!"
"What messages need to be sent, MiLord?" Ahzek growled.

Greetings Yoda, Master of Mystery!
I am making preparations to transfer ownership to you of the promised town in my region. I do not believe we have any common reference points that would enable our information to remain private. If you so desire, I am prepared to publish the exact location of the town that is to be yours. Still, I will only publish that information with your explicit permission.
I also thank you for offering to me the first choice of population center information to be divined. Rather than make a selection that would betray my specific interests I will instead request that you provide the location of all towns in the Eastern Steppes. Such an action will enable all kingdoms to determine for themselves the truth of the dark elves eradication at the claws of the Scarlet Wyrm. Many of those Eastern Steppes towns were once homes to the majestic and inquisitive (and formerly long-lived) dark elven scholars, mages, and minstrels. I am certain that when the new Alamaze kings look to these locations they will find melted stone, claw-raked buildings, and newly gnawed elven bones. The truth will soon be known to all. In a couple more months maybe you could divine the location of villages in the Eastern Steppes? When my fellow kings arrive to observe these smaller centers of once-peaceful dark elven children and local farmers they will likely be dismayed to learn that the Scarlet Wyrm didn't bother to even incinerate the bones of these peaceful dark elves instead electing to leave them scattered throughout the countryside. I thank you, in advance, for helping to reveal the truth of my cousin's crimes.
Your stalwart ally,
The Desert King

Greetings proud Queen,
I will begin transferring to you on the fifth month 3,000 food and 6,000 gold every turn until you control Synisvania. I am sorry to learn of the treachery of both the dwarfs and red dragons perpetrated against your noble people. It is a shame when mere discussion regarding empty territory is taken as a thin pretext for perpetrating war crimes. It is difficult to attempt to reason with an unenlightened, barely-evolved intellect such as that possessed by the Scarlet Wyrm. His brain is smaller than his dew claw and that is unlikely to ever change.
Once you control your region and consolidate your mighty military I am certain my cousin will not again contest you in the forests of Synisvania. The wild wyverns in the Talking Mountains take less time to herd toward mindless battle than it takes for the stalwart human troops to be trained to veterans. Persevere young Queen and take solace in the fact that your peoples will eventually grow stronger in all things that require intellect: mages, agents, and nobles. The bellicose Scarlet Wyrm cannot hope to match your race in any of these areas. In fact, thinking beyond his next meal is a task Firebreath has not yet mastered.

Mightiest of Mages, salutations, my friend.
I confess to slight confusion regarding our trade arrangements in the first month. Nevertheless, I assure you that such things are understood and will not stand in the way of future productive trade between our two kingdoms. I thank you and accept your suggestion that we remedy the misunderstanding by foregoing the transfer of gold in the fifth month. You can certainly rely upon receiving 13,500 gold in months six and seven. I will trade such sums to you for 1 food in those two months. When Summer arrives we can make certain that your food caravans arrive safely in the Southern Sands.
Is there any other aid you envision that my newly-consolidated kingdom can provide?
BL-DE
Congratulations on your ascension to domination of Arcania!
Thanks again for the exchange of the former embassies in both Arcania and Southern Sands. I am treating your former slaves, er . . . subjects, with a degree of respect that has inspired them to spread news of the generosity of the Desert King throughout my entire region. This was certainly a win-win agreement, mighty Lord of the Endless Host!
Please let me know when you are prepared to extend our existing treaty beyond the twelfth month.
"Raist, I know not why my people have departed Alamaze. I last heard that they were negotiating with the Scarlet Wyrm to receive bribes in the former dark elven lands. Then, Bloodgulper took all his subjects on some unknown life quest. Could it be that the filthy Red Dragon found some way of eradicating the giants as he did to the dark elves? I simply don't know." Scythia sighed and shook her massive head as she contemplated being one of the last giants remaining in Alamaze.
"Come, Scythia; let us spar! The day fast approaches when I will decree the treaty known as the Withdrawal of Dragons to have been breached and no longer binding upon my own brethern. When that day arrives I will finalize your training and we will take to the skies. In the meantime let us practice. My mace against your lance. Have at thee!" While the Desert king loved battle, as did all dragons, he feared that more would be lost forever to Alamaze than just the dark elves and giants. When dragons go to war the amount of death unleashed upon the world is almost impossible to calculate. On some worlds dragons at war eradicated all life completely. The Desert King hoped this was not the Scarlet Wyrm's intent . . .

OOC:
Typo: 11,500 gold/mo should have been 13,500 gold/mo. Sorry.

For protection, one village. For better protection and outbidding, one extra village. Or one town total.
WI-BL
For divinings, targeting control, I am. Spending two divinings, I do not. And for the protected, I do not. See what is possible, we will see. Thank you, we do, until then.

Oh, Nosy One, there is a group of unlettered peasants who have raised Our flag over their pathetic group of hovels in Oakendell. If you want the responsibility of looking after their well-being, they are all yours. How would you like to be given the location?

And once you have decided on a way to communicate that, I can communicate a town in Oakendell from that Troll village.
