5349 Fast Steel, One ally outside Forum

LI - HA   Hey there little southern neighbor.  There were rumors of a hobbit named Dylan something riding about on a red beast, not a Lizasaur for sure so maybe a Drony.  He was said to be humming a tune.  Forgive me if I misquote but something like "crimson flames passed through my ears flying high and mighty....". 
Oh well.  He seemed like a peaceful little guy but when asked why the chief of the halflings had raised his reaction in Sword Coast this month he pretended he knew not a thing.   Maybe you know?  
We have nothing against trinket hunters that pass through, as long as they don't plunder as they go.  We already saw that from your second group who earlier snatched a palantir out from under our patrol.  We played nice though and let it slide.  Now we see the reaction change.  Don't you know that Lizards sleep with one eye open?
Perhaps you care to spin a tale about why you changed your reaction?   We do so enjoy your messages.

Well, this is potentially embarrassing. I'm never one to argue finer details but here I think it's important. You see, I did want you to like me better. I want everyone to like me better. So much so that it's almost become a problem for the Underworld and me. When he and I first started talking he expressed concern over how "flirty" I seem to be with everyone. He didn't ask me to stop exactly, but he did urge against it if we ever "wanted to have a chance in the long run". So I stopped. That was last month, so I know I didn't raise reaction this month. In fact, I just checked again and sure enough I increased my influence this month. Not only am I trying to look bigger (politically) in my beau's eyes, I have come to realize that I have enough people that can tolerate me. I think I might be up to six, not to mention being on the High Council. No need for more. 

Truth be told, this is also part of the reason why I'm trying so hard to find just the right gift. I need him to see that he's the only one for me. I don't suppose you have anything fancy I could trade for to get his way? It'll go to the most noble cause of all: love.

I'll try to think of something I can do this turn to prove to you my intentions. Do you like candy? Not like the kind the Tyrant is always trying to hand out at parties that's full of rohypnol, but good homemade stuff. I bet you're pretty good at a taffy pull. Anyways, I make an amazing peanut brittle. If it's ok with my BFF, I'll see if we can find some extra to send your way. He says he has a nut allergy, so I'm sure it's fine.

Actually us reptiles do sometimes have a sweet tooth.  Nothing with nuts please.  It upsets our digestion but we do fine with bones.
Speaking of nuts, do you know the difference between beer nuts and deer nuts?

Deer nuts are under a buck, or so I have been told.

I'll be keeping an eye out from my rock in the sun.

Good battle, but starving reds are not much of a challenge. Looks as if I’m almost gone, but maybe one more village? You will have excellent control in the future with the City, and three towns left to control. Should be easier to keep control now. No need to thank me, your welcome. Maybe I can move to another area for a turn or so more? Let’s see, I have a lair and sanctuary, hum we shall see!!!

Mr. Lizardguy, I hope that my gesture (the nice one, not the one I made after you said bad things about me) was appropriate. I figured your Draconian amigo didn't need the reaction in Zamora and it would be less offensive than directly denigrating you. But then you directly denigrated me. So now I'm torn as to what to do. You keep saying not nice things about me and slandering my name, you enlisted Mr. Black to try to do the same (neener neener wasted order), and all I'm trying to do is survive in this lonely corner of the world. You're no longer allowed to even think about playing with Crimson. (S)he's off limits.

I do want that city, but your troops are the threat, not that city.  If it is giving you a negative food production, even better.  Besides, the AN may beat me to it and make it a moot point.  I have taken zero action against the AN and you keep trying to put him and me into conflict.  I can appreciate the effort, but the closest we have had to conflict is his patrols encroaching on borders.  Nothing to be too alarmed about as of yet.

Even though you are really cute it's hard to love you when you run so many orders against me.  Not neighborly at all.
