New Full Diplomacy Game
#11
I am not a big fan of limiting the kingdom choices. Some people like a certain play style. We made a bunch of drastic changes to the mages to bring them back in line... we should test that theory if we have done enough. I will attempt to not play a kingdom I have already played in a diplomacy game.

I may get in this game if the other doesn't start soon or one of my others ends soon.

Just look at Valhalla.  Both on which kingdoms are at the top, and which are most frequently chosen.  The designer is not convinced he has done enough to balance all the additional magic in 3rd Cycle and at any rate, a goal is players should want to try the different kingdoms, not perfect one, especially one at the top of Valhalla.  It's just for this game, another signup a player can claim the Necromancer or whatever.

Full Diplomacy (No Wizard Kingdoms; Optional Preference: Play a new kingdom)

IMP_TARK
Atuan
JohnDoe (Chivalry)
Wayde (Chivalry)
Ohman the heartless (Chivalry)
Avantar (Chivarly)
RELLGAR (Chivarly)

Let me know if those Chivalry bonuses are incorrect (or change before the game starts)

The AT needs more, I feel the BL needs more(like a change of location). If you put the BL back in the sands and moved the AN to the center of the board you might find it better. Or move the BL and the WA around. The WA would see plenty of play in region 5 and the BL would be in a better position in region 3. The income has helped the BL but honestly its still lacking compared to his big brother and the magic isn't enough to make up the difference.

I am out if we limit the kingdoms people can choose. Basically if I get 12th pick and I am forced to play the AM again I won't enjoy it. I have already won with that kingdom and want to play something different.

Atuan, I am somewhat confused here.  According to Valhalla, there are at least 10 non-mage kingdoms you have not completed.  You don't want to play them in favor of a mage kingdom you've played before in this one setup?

Anyway, we have I believe three games queuing so someone can find whatever format they want, not to mention the Duels.

Correct, I'm not in yet. I think it would be great if you wouldn't count the end of a game as part of your service level, especially  if you have no chance of winning, but you can still effect the outcome for others. I think people  quit games in order to sign up for a new one that they would prefer.  I'm in such a game. Is there something that can be done to help with This? A week grace period maybe?
