RA - Continuing impressions:
So I haven't gotten control of Arcania yet for a few reasons:
1) Since this is a test game, I've been more focused on trying stuff out than on "doing well".
2) I successfully tested the code that turns a PC neutral from over-recruiting.(Of course this was on purpose, why do you ask?)
3) One of the huge benefits to quick regional control in 2nd Cycle was that all neutral PCs raise your banner, which was a big production boost. With the reduction in total number of PCs plus Human control of some towns & villages, this benefit doesn't really exist in 3rd Cycle.(At least not in Arcania!) I see this as a significant plus to 3rd Cycle - regional control still has important benefits, but it's no longer an overriding consideration as to how the rest of the game will likely progress. Anyway, once I realized that I probably wouldn't be gaining PCs due to control, it became low priority.
Successfully killed off a Marshal and a General on an Excellent class unusual sighting, but still succeeded in getting the artifact - The Morning Star of Torag. Pretty nice weapon artifact.
The Morning Star of Torag adds to the group's combat value in all phases and
increases the risk of death for opposing leaders and wizards. The risk of death
for the group's highest leader is reduced and that leader has a greater chance of
being promoted while using this artifact. The Morning Star also aids the group
while investigating unusual encounters. Since this relic is a weapon-classed
artifact, if in the hands of an agent, it will enable the agent to inflict lethal
damage against an undead leader (nazgul) or wizard (wraith/lich) when performing
an assassination attempt.
I like that the description of what the artifact does is included on each turn - means I don't have to dig through myriad turn results to remind myself.
I did notice one oddity with the new order entry system. Twice now I've had a completed political order disappear when I go to the Summary tab. It happens intermittently and I haven't been able to consistently reproduce the occurrence. It seems to be the last political order I enter that can be affected.

Decided time to take my army for a test drive. Will see how they perform vs the RA capital this turn. Hoping the war machines are a good balance for my cav heavy kingdom brigades.

ERROR MESSAGES:
ORDER #480: MUST BE RULER WITH THIS ORDER (480 AI)
ORDER #480: MUST BE RULER WITH THIS ORDER (480 GA)
UM,
might want to take a look at error checker, I have my queen and two emissaries at my capital raising them up and it is giving an error.

What are you trying to do? I see three attempts of trying to raise your influence, your Queen is ok but not your Duke or Count (which is why you're getting the above two error messages).
Lol let me look at it again I am trying to raise to prince/duke. My apologies if I am just dumb! ?

Not dumb, just learning. 390 is to have your queen raise an emissary up a level. 480 is only to raise kingdom influence level.
