You should probably tax the town this turn then. The dragons are hungry.

Will you be trading 50,000 gold for 1 food this turn?

Don't take the town unless you're willing to pay the 50 grand beforehand. The Dragon's Lair that you get for free will pay for it in 2.5 turns so it's a pretty good deal.

50000 gold is quite a demand... That will be more gold than some northern realms produce in a month once winter starts.

Well, the RD could just leave my town alone if he wishes. No trouble that way. The town has a gold production of 11,438 plus 3,000 food. Combined with the free Dragon's Lair which produces 20,000 gold each turn, the RD could make up the cost in less than 1.5 turns. Is that really that outrageous? Being able to make up the cost in less than 1.5 turns is a reasonable offer, right?
But I have a feeling how it's going to go anyway which is pretty much typical whenever I play in an open diplomacy game (e.g., multiple gang ups against me). I mean, just look at the communique so far. Other kingdoms have been fairly friendly with each other so far by exchanging favors, pc's, food/gold, etc. to gain the pc but whenever I offer something (rather than giving away my stuff for free), the response is a bit rough or unfriendly-like.
That's ok, I don't mind because I'm used to it. I'm up for the challenge though I may have to change my opening strategy a bit replacing multiple death spells with strengthen walls/castles. I just don't want three against me before turn 10. I'm good but not that good

I don't think it's accurate that people treat you differently. You might want to look in the mirror first on how you talk to folks. If I go through your history in this game you are immediately telling the Tyrant that you've already defeated him and that he has no chance against you, then making a huge demand against the RD while seeming to insinuate that somehow his Dragon's lair is related to whether or not he takes a town. I'm not sure how those two are related but ok. He'll get the Dragon's lair regardless of what he ends up doing with you so I think you mischaracterize the cost of it.
I thanked you for not attempting to grab Eklar and I'll do that again. Appreciate it.

Lord of the Plains. I have not heard from you, my Eastern neighbor. There is much bartering of population centers going on and I wonder if we could make an arrangement for the one you have in Krynn?
I did successfully retrieve a foreknowledge item from Triumvia and saw several villages during my trip. I would think you have the locations by now but if not I will offer them to you.
AM----> NO
Sorry for the late reply. The PC I have in Kyrnn gives me some coastal advantages but will of course relinquish it if it's necessary for your control of the region. Would you consider a payoff in gold or a PC in my Region?

Well, about the Tyrant situation, if I didn't warn ahead of time, I'll get complaints in that I cheated as to how was it possible to have that many death spells before turn 10. If a vulnerable kingdom against magic like the Tyrant wishes to take on an experienced player with magic, their troops will be ripped apart which only causes frustration and drops. So all I'm saying is be prepared. Getting gruff for a town in my territory that I allowed the Tyrant to receive for free during the initial 6 turns was being generous on my part. Any negativity about it is unwarranted but expected due my experience in past games. I just don't want 3 vs. 1 which is rough before turn 10.
About the Red Dragon situation, it was just an offer with some explanation as to why I came to that amount. No need to pounce or anything. It was just an offer waiting for a counter-offer. Again, be prepared if you take something of mine without permission...
