For all, you are just barking at the moon if you don't have at at least Commander level service.   And then your are trumped if you don't have a higher level service.

No offense was intended, you have indeed been involved from the beginning of Fall of Rome and always been a help.  Go ahead and pick a kingdom for the test.

I'd be interested in a Kingdom with the Oratory trait. Or maybe the Druid or Halfling.

I thought I had deleted that comment. I didn't mean it to sound so whiny. If you have any kingdoms left over after the Imperators and Commanders have chosen, I'll be thrilled to play any of them. I intend to play each of them, in turn, anyway so one is as exciting as another.

I am thrilled to see that several of the cool features I have been in favor of since we were working on KoA have made it into your Alamaze design.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

Uncle Mike has been asking for the design drafts, and he has been really quick with the development stuff.  So I am optimistic that when I stop fiddling he will get the coding done in short order.  No pressure, Mike.  Dodgy

The changes as I mentioned yesterday are so extensive as to warrant calling The Choosing the beginning of the 3rd Cycle, so its still a ways off.  Lots of moving pieces and unlike you guys, I ain't as young as I used to be.

I'll see what I can do in the quickest timeframe but to put it in perspective, the End of 2nd Cycle document was only 4 pages long and The Choosing's rough draft is already at 16 pages without the new troop values (which are in a separate doc). Ry Vor has more to add to the new release but it's not just the quantity of changes but also the depth of their complexity.

For 2nd Cycle, the only new concepts that required some work were Entrenchment and Evasion while everything else like new combat values just "plugged" into the current framework. So not much extra development was needed but The Choosing involves much more complexity than that so I'm unable to just plug in values and run with it like I did before.

Anyway, that's my disclaimer that The Choosing (or really 3rd Cycle) may take some time to do but I'll work extra including the weekends to get all of this done in a reasonable timeframe. Some of the new concepts are pretty cool though like the undead eating defeated foes to regenerate themselves (like a vampire sucking blood). Looking forward to making all of this happen Smile
