Memorial Day
#1
Just wanted to acknowledge the service and honor of our US veterans and our forefathers who have fought for our country.  As a country, we should recognize 95% of us depend on at most 5% for our security.

And I still like the old war movies that were on today, including Patton, Green Berets, and Midway.

I agree. Even though I never enlisted, my father served as well as my uncle who was on the U.S.S Enterprise aircraft carrier. Pretty awesome if you asked me!

My great grandfather was a radio technician in the pacific during WWII. We have a photo of him fiddling with a radio in a palm tree on one of the pacific islands framed in our dining room! I like to take today as an opportunity to reminisce what little I remember of him.

In current times, my cousin is graduating from the Airforce Academy this Thursday. Going to be making the 15 hour drive to Colorado Springs to be at the ceremony! Going to pull up ALL of my kingdom reports before I leave and write down my orders on paper (since I won't have internet in the car) and try and enter them all in the few moments of free time I have throughout the week of festivities Big Grin
