I posted this thread because I wanted to start a discussion about the RA Kingdom and their spot in 3rd cycle.
I RA is not a very appealing kingdom to me because they appear to be average at everything (with the exception of the best military leaders in the game; I'm not sure what that means for the kingdom or the army groups) and they start in region 8 without a hidden capital. In the majority of my games, region 8 is what the D1 (RD/TY) immediately go after.
If you're the IL, I feel like the hidden capital gives you a nice sanctuary to keep all your emmys, agents, and wizards safe, even if there is savage onslaught going on all around you.
With the RA, your only choice is to square up against the RD/TY, and I feel like that is never a good at the beginning of a game.
What do you think? Is is plausible to be competitive against the RD/TY off of turn 1 like in the Gnome vs. RD thread? Is there a huge strength to the kingdom that I am missing?
