2016 The Choosing Philosophy and Other Stuff
Seems could encourage teaming up but I guess if you are only allowed 1 royal wedding could be ok. for future kids maybe only if no non daemon prince prince(s) are currently active. Then that kingdom would start to get a new heir.

Any idea on other effects of what the permanent alliance also effects?
Maybe stuff like,
-can not attack or turn allied PCs
-each point of influence gained or lost effects ally by 0.2 as well
-310 issued my the ally in defense of the others PCs are 15% more effective (idea being a show of unity)

I'm not even sure it is a good idea, at this point I'm just saying to have the idea of a royal wedding that cements alliances, this is what I have come up with.  I think it's pretty cool, and sort of balanced but may not be the right direction for players that like to go it alone.  Maybe just a game option to include or not like Exploratory was, or perhaps more intrusive into the core, that it is required for any ally declaration, so trading, not having emissaries blocked, perhaps other things.  So allies would not be easily had.

What about giving up the order and a baron now for a Prince in four turns, if there is no foul play for those development turns to a vulnerable target that has to be at the capital? I'm kind of always looking for the intrigue angle.

Can a kingdom have multiple Royal Weddings with different kingdoms? Or one per game?

It might be cool if you kept the married nobles, but as inactive characters in the opposite capital. Change to 'Wedded Prince' or something to clearly differentiate. If anything happens to the Wedded Prince (assassination, capture, etc..) the alliance is voided and both kingdoms suffer some sort of penalty.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project.
