Empires and type of game
#1
Question I have for everyone about the different types of kingdoms, strong military(Rd, TR, GI), Magic strong ( WI, WA, SO), balanced (EL,DA, RA), and so on. Types of games I refer to would be any variation for a single player with a single kingdom.

From a new player just getting into the game, how should one look on how the various kingdoms can be played and change based on the game type? For example, I am playing the Elves in 145 but would love to play the underworld. How different would you view playing that kingdom (UN) in the different game types. I am looking at all the different kingdoms and game setups and wondered if some types of games favor one type of kingdom over another, and why?

The UN is the most specialized kingdoms. Strongest agents in the game and weak everywhere else. The kingdom requires finesse and diplomacy to buy the time needed to grow. Potentially one of the toughest kingdoms to lead. You may want to play a few games before tackling the UN, but I'm sure that you'll enjoy playing them when you pull the trigger. As for strengths in various game types, I'll leave it to the professional kingdom drafters to give you the background.
